The latest local itv weather has it clearing here by 6am now.

If it moves through that quickly, any snow will be very quickly transient indeed.

Beginning to wonder if its going to be an east of the pennines event this.

The meto twitter animation showed a much slower progression than that ITV forecast..

Either way with some PM influences over the coming 10 days i think even if this goes belly up we will get at least another shot soon..

You get sleet at 0500. Whats to moan about?

Glossop and Hadfield (Woolley bridge) also get the same.

It's a polar vortex as the Americans would say.

If we cannot get a slider here but head south i will not worry as we will be on the colder side of the jet, rinse and repeat for me,hopefully before long as the jet slides further and further south we get a Scandi high forming and bingo,is it that simple:D

Make that 0.7°C. If this doesn’t at least start as snow then I will eat my entire sock draw and all of my gloves, fingerless or otherwise!

Interesting forecast from Phil Avery just now saying the snow in Northern parts could continue well into the afternoon and the met office are starting to get concerned.

One more request stop using those irritating apps, the forecast has just shown snow for all the region  and as above could Linger well into the afternoon in places

I'll hold you to that :p

It's -1.5C with a -2.5DP here and I fully expect rain when it arrives.

GLad oven read in here as I couldn’t understand why snow was disppearing on the app!

its -0.2c here apparently. Might be a bit colder than that as the digital thermometer i have is in between two houses rather than in the middle of the garden.
