Ha! Keep the faith.

Bit of moderate snow now. :)

Indeed - caught a glancing blow from that, a couple minutes of large flakes swirling down.

It's all moving along so fast, no time to get the camera out (wait, I'm that snow starved?)

That was a fun hour, the best snow my boy has seen falling and he loved it, also the heaviest I have seen for years but there was no settling.

It was real snow not just grains.Lasted.about 20 mins.

You never know, even @jy might have seen a snowflake this morning.

So...All eyes on this afternoon's Euro4 (and the Stratosphere this weekend).

This is far as the Euro4 goes for Sunday at the moment, but there's plenty out west to keep an eye on.

Just got to Poole. It was raining slightly while on the way.

Yup, Upton when I got home was just rain. But when I came out of gym in Broadstone it was snow and rain combo. Corfe Mullen at the top of the hill, just snow, but it all stopped pretty quickly, seems it passed mainly to the east of here.

Quite an altitude rise when you head in to the mullen!

I'm about to get a skin fade at the hairdressers. Gonna be cold when I step back outside. :O

Just went going over this myself also and dew points respond pretty quickly after that low, going from 3 to 6c down to 0 to -1c in the space of 6 hours 850s also come down also ranging from -4 to -7c... Deffo one to keep an eye on this afternoon that's for sure..

That’ll be the bit that passed just to the west of here. I seem to remember it being a common theme of the storms during the summer as well with storms passing between us.

Despite the radar looking reasonable, the precip here is very chilly rain with a few flakes mixed in from evaporative cooling in the more intense bursts. Not especially surprising considering the DP is 2.0 dgC.

I saw on Facebook that someone not that far from where you are had snow so I guess it was down to intensity unless being slightly further north made all the difference which I doubt.

Drove through a short, but lively, shower of sleet and wet snow between Beaminster and Bridport just after nine this morning.  To say it was bracing walking along the coast would be something of an understatement!

From an all-rounder's weather perspective, the short to mid-term synoptics will keep me happy. Spells of wind, rain, squally, wintry showers and some sunshine. At least it won't be dull and boring! :)

It’s certainly more interesting than the week long cloudy nothingness of a couple of weeks ago.

The M5 has been closed between Taunton and Wellington all day due to an accident this morning, very sad. Wonder whether ice had a part to play?

More likely poor driving was more the case...

That's perfectly alright. We'll build a beauty out of the snow that we'll have while you're away. mocking.gif
