Fingers crossed things stay just the right side of marginal for us, currently 0c here and dp -0.3c. I do find it amusing in recent years we can rarely manage snow in winter but March seems to deliver for us on the coast!

More in March always been snowiest month seas warming cold air more to come! Let's keep this cloud cover to slow melt.

Reading through all this, a lot of night owls up through the night.

Around 3 inches down here in the Swansea valley, with it still snowing. 

Everything thick in snow bar the pavements and roads which is strange as they havent been gritted. The tarmac must be storing more heat.

As I type, precipitation is getting heavier. Working from home has its downsides...no chance of calling a snow day.

Enjoy it where you can everyone. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

down St Davids in the van been snowing heavy for the last couple of hours, but not settling. Carn Llidi has snow settling on it though

Was snowing heavy when I left for work an hour ago, built up quicker thismorning about 2inch now. Currently in Rhoose where its still snowing lightly and an inch or so here. Temp back home rising now at 0.4C and DP 0.1C so the slow thaw should set in.

 

Even if it is just rain for me later today with the next system I am very happy to have seen a decent fall of snow and more laying than expected

Snow has turned to rain here now, more precipitation to come later so more snow for areas away from immediate coast.

As the warms up more sleet than snow  As heavier pp reaches Wales may turn back to wet snow Attention now turns to central north Wales as heavy snow over next 24 hrs

Still going good in Rhoose which im surprised at being its proximity to the coast. Still all snow, maybe some ice rain in there hard to tell. 

 

Meto warning for tomorrow has been updated and now includes S/E wales and parts of S/W England so we could still be in with a chance tomorrow if the colder air can fight back more! 2-4cm possible on low levels and 5-10cm higher up.
