Best chance for showers pushing inland a bit more looks to be tomorrow morning as the wind veers to a straight northerly thanks to a small LP tracking down the North sea.

Maybe the Bourgh in on the action.😆

😂

I’d take a repeat of the dusting we had over night which has pretty much all vanished.

Significant shower activity reaching west to east in northern Scotland compared to before.  If they maintain their intensity then east coast could get something later.  🤔

Showers up there appears to be tracking more north to south now instead of north west to south east as they were earlier?

This is the headline on teesside live's newspaper site for tonight!!

Updated weather warning as Teesside prepares for sub-zero temperatures and 7 inches of snow!!!

🤔🙄 Are they seen something we arnt, will they ever learn, there's more chance of me getting a tan via the moon than teesside getting 7 inches of snow 😁

Aye, but a headline along the lines of

Updated weather warning as Teesside prepares for a potential light flurry!!!

Doesn't sell papers or encourage clicks.

They must be taking it from the weather warning which mentions 15 to 20cm for high ground but only a few cm of snow at lower levels

Bit disappointing that we only got a slight dusting last night. Depth of cold is very impressive with everything frozen solid all the way to the  beach. Just need a good covering and this cold spell will have been a good one.

Not holding up too much hope for snow  tomorrow morning but fingers crossed.

Showers / front over Scotland definitely moving more north to south in places now however can they maintain any intensity is the question.  Might see a few lucky surprises tonight.

Not sure what data they use or what this app uses but more often than not the app is spot on.

Seems the Teesside area is in the warm sector.

I'll be in the Newcastle-Durham areaon Sunday and keeping an eye on this feature. There is much embedded cold air at the surface and I suspect quite a few hours of snow would fall, of the wet variety before rapidly turning to rain, but it may arrive a bit later should the front be slower moving. I highly doubt 13 degrees will be recorded on Monday, there is colder air ready to attack from the NW, can see the warm sector being squeezed quickly.
