Not sure how reliable they are but the 3km snow charts on real weather seem to show those heavier showers over the borders moving down into this region at about 10pm tonight.

Mind, I’m not the best at reading the charts.

This is a good shower but makes me think what it must be like in Dundee or Northumberland their showers are 4 times the size of ours.

The shower that just hit Teesside. Is that another one behind it?

There is a big cluster of showers in the north of the region that have really intensified over the last few hours, I think the line of showers is slowly drifting slowly south (I hope)

Those showers over the borders are definitely moving further south. I'm starting to get a little excited. But then tell myself after the last few days that I should get my head out of the clouds lol

I think you are right.  Look the two charts.  2 hours apart.  you can see significant southern movement.  If that continues, should be about 3 hours ETA....but will it

I debated it!

Nah in all honesty as frustrating as it is i like the excitement.  Must be a glutton for punishment radar watching.

I'm hopeful about tonight though.

Are those beefy showers on the scottish borders heading our way?

They are defo headed south.  Its more the convection line you need to watch.  So those showers are streaming in and the streamer line is moving south so will or should generate fresh showers for the NE later.

I'm waiting with baited breath again...

I'm pretending this is the first night of the cold spell again, will be disappointed if I don't wake up to it snowing though.
