I think we are so central it means we get teased a lot - but seem to miss from all directions - north south east and west!

Yeah we did, very lucky to get what we did during that time, feel for some areas though, east midlands southwards hasnt seen a great deal really. Yorkshire and areas east of the pennines are always going to be more in favour though.

The more I look at the models, I would not be surprised if we have a 10 Dec 2017 type event in the next 10 days or so. Clash of cold air from the N with a jet tracking across the south of the country

Maybe I am being overly optimistic but one to watch

But it wasn't wide spread alot had sleet or rain. Obviously elevation was key. Mate lives in Durham they had a mix of evrething. And yep we get to repeat the will it won't on Saturday lol.

I'm not feeling optimistic for saturday really, think we may as well wait to see if the models upgrade for later this month. Didnt oldbury get a fair covering couple of weeks back? Got a good 5cm on the monday morning.

Hi all,

Looking at the radar, I’ll be surprised if any precipitation will be left at all in a couple of hours, just a cloud fest here in Solihull.

I must add when leaving Pershore at 4pm for home it was 4.7c....when I got home it was 1.4c, just shows a 38mile drive, driving in a northeasterly  direction the differences in temps ❄️

Still snowing here although light but persistent, around 2" or just under so far today, a winter wonderland outside and a hard frost tonight locally down to -4/5c

Yh we had 3 good coverings. 6 days of snow on the ground and numerous snowfalls. So eases the pain of missing out today. Saturday is 50/50

Unless we get real cold in chasing these marginal affairs is disheartening.

Every snow event so far Burton has missed out by the slightest of margins almost every way possible. It's comical. We had falling snow but nothing stuck.

Wether we will get reasonable cold in is another question mod thread has picked up abit tonight but anything decent is always 10 days away.

Can't believe people still get sucked into chasing day 10 charts and then have a tantrum when they don't come into fruition (mentioning no names...)

They see somthing in fantasyland and it's nailed on then get to +48 and it disappears.

Lots of Prams and toys involved then it all starts over again.

Curses! No sooner had I posted when the glass started climbing and the fire struggled for life.

Rising pressure about here’s stopped the low in its tracks.

This is life!

Lucky you we didn’t even get a covering the dusting we had on those days disappeared straight away I cannot see any snow for Saturday and models don’t look too optimistic either. Has any of you seen the update to glosea this month if you have what is it showing for the remainder of winter and into spring? Thank you.

Lol what is it with your computer? Either fancy writing or everything underlined. Think the key is to only look at the next 3 or 4 days atm as the swings in the models are worse than ever. Yes bigger and bigger dips on the rollercoaster
