Sorry, but i have to say this.

Since when did a computer generated model dictate how the planet would make the weather?

there are people out there who put balloons up everyday, there are people out there who look at the results of the data generated from current results.

lets see what Sunday brings, and if its not as forecast then so be it. but one thing for sure, it will be what it will be

Yeah I don’t get to sucked in anymore , I used to hang on their every word I even used to drum up my parents phone bills by calling weathercall when cold and snow was possible, They soon blocked the number . Ultimately it nearly always leads to disappointment so now expect nothing and if I do it’s a big bonus .

Mick you’re on the wrong forum. That is weather it’s not certain.

UKV interested in Saturday for far SE, Kent & Sussex some real heavy precip offshore.

well i joined this site many years ago from the old BBC site and it was mainly for the weather discussions. but soon learnt that weather is not something anyone can predict (by the people who thought they could) . so i enjoy the banter here and regard a few posters as experts but i take no notice of the 'ten days' time predictions. i really can't understand how the weather can be forecast past  3- 5 days time, and even 2-3 days in circumstances.

unlike @Paul Sherman who can be on a storm chase and actually work out the 'here and now' predictions. its in the lap of the gods. and as i say, it will be what it will be with the technology at hand.

thats not to say i do not enjoy reading what opinions are and don't dismiss them. i just get fed up with the crystal ball predictions that are continually posted for 'what' will happen next week. we all have an opinion, and its quite right to air those regardless of what you might think of them. but, there is no way to predict the future or i would be a multi millionaire

I had a slightly awkward meeting with a manager at work probably about about 16/17 years ago. An expensive (0898?) phone number kept coming up on my work phone and they thought I was calling porn lines. Turns out it was the weather line phone number. I think they were so relieved they weren’t working with a sexual deviant that they just let it go

The funny thing was it come out on a card the local council used to hand out to residents, It had all the important numbers like the council office , local police station and right at the bottom weathercall . I do think it was a 0898 number too .

A lot of that isn't making it to the ground - no rain here in Tunbridge Wells

Very true. Although as we've seen with the rain in the channel tonight, that's further north than expected. Minor changes like that on Sunday could make all the difference for a few lucky people.

Either way you'd expect to finally see some agreement tomorrow night on how Sunday will play out.

The BBC is only reflecting the latest from ECM model it’s not out of date data. Depends what models you look at. What I will say ECM is being more consistent than most, consistently wrong we’ll see, but it’s important model to have on your side.
