Another great looking chart, I think all the models have something on offer regarding potential snowfall, but like I said at this stage.....Just for fun

So, mid next week onwards looking rather cold but not deeply cold, and quite messy. From experience, those marginal, messy setups normally bring lots of snow to Stoke. Might be more difficult this early in the season and with high SSTs though.

Every flipping year at the end of March i say to myself im not gonna get invested next year and spend my time reading the model forum i dont really understand.  One whiff of the potential for cold weather and here i find myself back again, vintage refugee from early days of TWO and lurker of some years here too for yet another Winter.  Hopefully the midlands can do well this year

A classic late autumn day here. Not quite an air frost overnight (+0.4 °C, still haven't had a negative this season) but the coldest max so far at 7.7 °C yesterday. This morning has been gorgeously sunny with ice on car windows, frost on leaves etc. Another chilly day today, but this kind of chilly is fine! Not looking forward to the gloom and damp forecast for later in the week, though. Not cold enough for snow, just cold and miserable. Best enjoy today!

My opinion at the moment.....it isn’t even a fine line regarding the potential for snowfall in our region this Friday/Saturday, as right now it’s only Tuesday as all can change within 24hrs, we’ve been there

Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the models showing a wintry outlook but right not my snow boots are firmly on the ground.

If the forecast is showing ❄️❄️❄️ Come Thursday, I’ll be back then

Ah, at last... -0.1 °C on Monday night! Only just made it, though, as by the end of the night it was grey and drizzly, and that persisted all day. After a lovely day on Monday, Tuesday was a reminder of how unpleasant late November can be when it feels like it!

Looks good for the West Midlands on Friday and Saturday especially over any high ground. Probably a mix of rain, sleet and snow and very windy.

Was about to post kinda the opposite, looks more like a E Midlands event, with W Midlands esp Staffs and Shrops missing out, still do not expect settling snaw at low levels

-7 uppers if the rain is heavy enough wintry prec should get quite low down. Still alot of chopping and changing so far to really call it.

There's a few areas of very showery precipitation, with colder air coming in on the back of them. Intensity, timing and track will determine whether what falls is wet or white. Difficult to model.

It's that time of the year when we all get excited by the mere mention of a flake. Chance of snow anywhere on Friday nite into Saturday morning it seems. Each model track the low path differently should be firmed up by tonight if I was a betting man I think it's prime for Cheshire gap activity and this will show up by tomorrow morning on the models. Good luck one and all. ☃️☃️

Well I've not posted on here for 10 years or so ( forgot my password and have a different email, hence the 2.0 in my name!) Great to see there still arguing in the model thread!  Buckle up ladies and gentlemen for the first ride of the season!

Looks similar to the Harmonie. Two areas of rain/sleet/snow pushing south across the region Friday night/Saturday morning.

Here's the total amount of falling wintry precipitation (hail/graupel/sleet/snow).
