After a maximum of 13.2°C at: 14:16, it's slowly falling but we still have a lot of cloud around as the beachcam shows

Need it to clear to see if we can hit some decent overnight lows, but I suspect not so tonight, anyway on to the weekend..

So, after the long dry spell there was well over 50mm of rain in marginally more than 24 hours Tuesday/Wednesday followed by 2 lovely bright and breezy days and a third likely tomorrow.

Possibly quite a dry week ahead too, the months’ rainfall compressed into only a few days!

Peaked here @ 13.2°C at: 14:16, which I suspect is slightly below the average for the time of year..

Cloudy this morning but the majority of the afternoon was sunny but still cool. Reached 13.8°C. currently 11.8°C

Sc layer around 3.000ft, breezy

Morning All, and overcast one and mild compared to yesterday as the wind has swung in to the SW. An overnight low of 7.2°C at: 07:45 has struggled up to 10.5°C and RH81% with a 3mph light breeze..

The local TAF, puts a positive spin on it 

Few clouds at a height of 3600 ft (really just a few more like an St layer ?)
Broken clouds at a height of 4200 ft

Sat image shows the gloom with no breaks..

And the beachcam shows a break just on the horizon.....

Still under the Sc layer

Some breaks this afternoon and the sun poked through for a short time..

As the sat image shows a complete covering across the southern part of the UK

The local TAF shows this as 

Broken clouds at a height of 3800 ft

Certainly moved on to a Sc layer this afternoon..

Maxed out at 12.9°C at: 14:56, currently slightly down on that..

Whilst the beachcam shows..

Cloud, and calm seas..

The temperature has flat-lined for the last almost 5 hours, and has just nudged up to 11.3°C...whilst still remaining cloudy..

Morning All, a breezy sun morning here, with a fair amount of Sc blowing through, looks mlike we might catch the tail end of the front, but it looks to be vey weak by the time it reaches us. The overnight low is now back in to double digits at 10.4°C at: 08:05, meanwhile it's made it up to 14.°C with the RH76% with the wind increasing and in from the SW gusting 15mph..

Meanwhile sat images shows the thickening cloud and the front nicely this morning..

And down on the beach..looking towards the SW shows the cloud invasion, and the sea action picking up..

Clearance here in the last hour...now some straggly St and medium Cu with plenty of blue sky

Pretty much 3 fully cloudy days in a row, but today saw rain. 

Currently clear, bright moon, and an owl making noises. Temp 12.6°C.

Morning All, an early shower band cruised through recently leaving another 2.6mm with us, the view out over the channel is looking great this morning...

Meanwhile overnight was back in to single digits with a low of  8.0°C at: 03:56, currently 9.8°C and RH96%, no breeze..

The earlier shower band is visible on the sat image..
