Morning All, a clear sunny and calm day after the earlier rain this morning, the overnight low of 9.6°C at: 08:14, has struggled up to 11.9°C , RH85%, and the breeze direction has turned more westerly / WNW.

Meanwhile the skies are clear currently, out over the channel some patchy Sc, and a slight amount of white water..

The view from above shows the band of rain clearing eastwards, and a peppering of shows now showing to the west in particular to begin with South Wales..

That rain!! The roof is like tin so imagine how loud it was!

Haha, I use to live in South Africa, and after 6months of no rain, the sound of rain on the tin roof was music to your ears...

Squall line just passing over. Looks like it should dry out shortly afterwards.

Rough here!

Crikey! The noise that just went through, never heard that before.. almost a tornadic sound.

Just recorded 55mph.

That radar image is something..

59 knots gust in Poole Harbour now, thats 67 mph. Some of the strongest gusts of wind I've seen for a long while probably because of the Southerly direction.

Yep. That short period was some of the roughest I've seen here for a long time! It went nuts.

Winds have veered and dropped now with the passing of a brief squall that just went through.

If you run the radar over the last 2 hours or so you can see that dryer slot surges NE mid channel which is where the strong wind was.
