Interesting on the showers blasting through, I.ve been out in the garden since midday, ad we've had three showers, the first yes very heavy, the other two, I just worked through as they were so quick that it wasn't worth "hiding".. even the guy over the road kept on going on the first shower, but I do think he got soaked, in the process!

Sure has been breezy though

And now at 16:45 it's becoming dark inside, here we go with the next season....

Only just got the power back. Had just started cooking outside on the brewing gear.

Village bonfire is nearly done, after dodging a few heavy showers.  It's going to be another big 'un.

When you've finished with 'im can you send him this way and we can leave him outside to scare the starlings away...

Morning All, a cooler night than of late with the low of 7.1°C at: 07:37, currently 8.2°C with RH84% and a much lighter breeze today in from the SW

A somewhat calmer sea this morning

Showers heading in from the west, so we could well begin the November rainfall measure later today, the morning Taf suggesting things are already on the change cloud wise

Few clouds at a height of 4000 ft, Cumulonimbus.

Lots of anvils around this morning. One of them with mammatus on the underside. They were to my WSW.

Great skies today. Heard the rain and perhaps hail against the window a few times last night. Classic Severn Estuary showers setup this morning. If only there was cold air embedded...

Fortunately in the dry slot here in Gloucester, so enjoying some fab sunshine streaming in through the window. Was a bit fresher this morning on my pre work walk but coat still not required.

A thoroughly wet morning here too, but I think that's the worst of the showers gone now.

Been bone dry here this morning; definite chill to the wind though.

Sandy Balls doesn't get rain,so must be other reasons for the noise,I'm 3 miles away and it hasn't rained for months

I'm sure it did this weekend with Beka taking it with her..

Our village looks like a war zone so many trees down or snapped,I'm sure the Sandy Balls rain shield held firm in respect of Beka

It was noisy both first nights with very heavy rain on the roof! Woke us around 6am both mornings. I can confirm there was lots of puddles and squelchy mud to avoid both days. The roof was some plastic but sounded like tin lol

Lightning to my WNW just now. Pretty active storm cell seemingly over Honiton way  but can’t hear the thunder so perhaps further away than it looks. Devon pitch black here!

There have been some strikes out in the Bristol Channel. I can just about make out the cbs in that direction as it’s conpletely clear here.
