Still no sign of convection here in herts to date. Not quite what the forecasts were suggesting with widespread heavy showers and thunderdstorms with most of the activity to the north and west....so far....

Ventured out to see what's going on, staying local, dark skies to the South

Temperatures and humidity has shot up here in pickering. Was cool earlier but sun's coming out rather nicely

Roll of thunder heard to my east.

(Edit: Need someone to confirm...neighbour is working on his van...might be him moving stuff around inside that! Radar suggests I did hear thunder though)

Finally stopped raining here, thunder still occasionally rumbling in the distance.

Looks like we have had in excess of 2 inches of rain.

Another intense thunderstorm here with big flashes of lightning, the loudest crackles I've heard and the longest rumbles.

This storm is over towards Oswestry way… I think I’m way to far north and west for any fun today.

Ahhh well… Always tomorrow. ?⛈??

Good luck to everyone else on here for today. ??

Another fresh one brewing over Stourbridge way. Still bright sunshine here...would be very surprised if something didn't come closer soon.

Been hanging out the bedroom window listening to this storm rumbling away Saw one massive flash but that’s it. Seems to be dying off now.

Holy crap i have never experienced anything of this magnitude before. Been absolutely dumping it down with deep, long rumbles of thunder and intense flashes of lightning. Managed to take a video but not able to share it currently as I am on my hotpot. I hope everyone out there is safe tonight and this storm is nothing to take lightly.

Can see two big CBs - one to my NNE (near King's Lynn) and the other to my NW (WSW of Market Harborough).

Edit - that cell near King's Lynn has got a stunning anvil now!
