I'm just in the warning here - think it's going to be close tonight. But I'd suspect the snow will be more widespread across the mids tonight, good luck to all tonight. Hopefully the first bit of snow for the season.

Got some breathing space in the warning area. 100m so would hope for at least some accumulations. Let's hope it's a good one because the charts aren't looking great this morning, those dartboard lows always seem to know the worst possible time to make an appearance.

If this freezing fog lasts all day, we could be having freezing rain later in Coventry

Thurs 14th 06Z, feel warm on trip to lichfield/King's Bromley, I always feel 12 degrees or so, feels miles warmer in Dec/Jan, than it would from June to Nov!

aware of course deep FI, my guess it will end up much wetter

And an absolute pasting for the north of the region tonight on the UKMO.

Having a rest day today following physio last night, hence the spamming.

Good for here and high ground further south. Will come down to now casting for low lying areas further south, I think.

The latest model runs do look better for those in the north of the region, but not necessarily good for areas south of Stafford. I'm personally not expecting much, being in the least favourable part of the Midlands for snow (from these marginal setups).

Have you got the sunshine with you yet?

I had to change my batteries in the outside thermo this morning and I got a lot of hot air inside the screen, as the cover  was stuck!!

The sun came out as I was completing the job (with blue tack!) .

Anyways I am now reading about 0.3C with the sun on it.

MIA

PS Just seen you later post....

I am actually above freezing now in the WSW breeze, and the low clouds are belting across the sky.
