You don't look too impressed!! 🤣

How's it doing in Longden Don? About 1"/2.5cm now in Bomere Heath, we had a couple of heavier bursts and its still coming down with small flakes. This has wiped the floor with last December here

-1.2c currently and raining. 🤦😂 Thank god it's late at night as it will be an ice rink for the next hour or so.

Waiting for the inevitable it looks like, but for now heavy snow settling everywhere 1-2cm. Beats last December 🙂

No wonder for the past 3 hours ive heard no 'boy racers' go belting down the lane here - is usually like a grand prix on a saturday night here!!

Grass, cars and table iced over so it is kind of freezing rain, but roads still okay mostly, temperature rising now. Probably the worst possible end to a cold spell, but I suppose it's interesting to experience once at least.

Well done to those further north of here!

Edit: Just to add I am finding this quite funny instead of being annoyed as it's the weather trying to play a sick joke on me, that's the feeling I get anyway 😂

Excuse Mr Spider on the camera but quite a wintery scene out there - nice to have some end product to the cold spell albeit quite temporary in all probability. IMG_0201.thumb.jpeg.3d6e8fab894724c05dc48e1f3f3cffec.jpeg

Is it not nailed on for rain Monday? Or could our patch be expecting snow?

At this stage it's possible but no more than that.

Shropshire is ridiculous. I think Longden is a bit higher than here (I'm 95m asl)

Yes, far more than I have.  Longden is about 120m, so like you say a bit higher.  You possibly did better being in the heavier bands of snow slightly north of me?

Evaporative cooling should play a part once the heavier stuff arrives
