Did you spend 15 years reading the MOD thread😞

I manage about 15 minutes at a time before my head explodes with all the data/see-sawing/contradictions/outrageousness and plain stupidity of some people.

Nice to see a genuine scenic frost this morning but crikey did it lift quickly!...soil temps must be still quite warm as it's not overly warm outside (currently 2.5c).

As for the MOD thread...fortunately haven't been in there reading 90% or so of rubbish posted, prams and toys I suppose. Looks like further rain on the way.

Don't go in there and say it looks like further rain is on the way, you will get shot down for being negative lol.

Nice to see a light snow shower this morning. I hate winter but I do live how the earth looks frosted up and snow.

One of the headlines in the local paper is Sleet to Hit London As Temperatures Plummet. I wonder if any other country would make a big deal out of sleet, maybe Zimbabwe.

I'm a newbie to this forum, although interested in weather as a scientific discipline. My eyes have truly been opened to the complexity of the atmosphere. I have learned so much since joining from the amazing and extremely knowledgeable membership here but I have so much still to learn. Thank you!

Nice frosty start, can't remember the last time I had to scrape the ice off the car, lows of -3.5 c overnight.

I tend to find it's best to ignore the rampers/doomers on the MOD thread and then just read the posts from those who tend to have a more neutral view of the weather and are a lot more experienced in reading the charts.

The MO long ranger makes pretty bleak viewing for virtually the whole of December down here, if it’s snow your after.

For all it gets mocked on the main thread, I don’t tend to find it ends up being too far out. The ones that spring to mind are Nov/Dec 10 and the BFTE which it picked up pretty early and counted them down until they hit.

Hi old friends (and new friends)

Its been a long long time since I was last here.2019 I think.

Wondering if its going to snow here tomorrow.

Yesterday there was the tiniest tiniest frozen smattering of snow on the windowsill.

It seems like home (Redhill) got a little dusting earlier according to Mr 3Cats. Where I was in Blackfriars, we had nothing. Awaiting the Alexa update just after 7pm to see if there’s anything on the radar for tomorrow.
