Big storm passing to my south

I think that was the storm that went over us.

Everything has bypassed me again today I guess our best chance will come from plume events later in the season

Middle of the night plume storms make up 99% of the storms that actually hit here.

The sun finally made an appearance late in the afternoon.

No rainfall for us for at least another week according to the 16 day forecast.

What's the betting we only get grey skies and drizzle......

After missing out on the storms and rain yesterday today more than made up for it and the amber warning was certainly justified 🥺

FYI Bottom right is not a pothole it’s where the lighting struck the tarmac 😳

PS I’d left the washing on the line 🤦‍♀️

Tomorrow looks a much warmer day for us on the coast as the winds switch round more to a ENE direction, great for a very quick warm up during the morning with more in the way of sunshine too... until the seabreeze decides to turn up.

Yep that trough was where the wind changed, was surprised about the storm that developed to the east of the line done here, giving some places a second storm. New as soon as the mist cleared and the sun came out, once the cloud, it didn't rain here, had passed, that was it for us. A sort of reverse cold front. They normally move west to east, this one moved east to west.

Hmm, wouldn't that cause a coastal cz zone.

Just realised, whether we are in with a chance tomorrow or not, it's gonna go absolutely mental with a storm just before 15:00, I have to go to a parents evening at my kids secondary school.

The capital has experienced thunderstorms after a weekend of some of the hottest temperatures this year.

This is 2 miles away from me. I just got enough rain to create a puddle or two whilst they got the lot in Golders Green.

Very much a localised temperature as our garden is a bit of a hot spot, but it's a Davis Vantage Pro WS, so I'm happy with the accuracy...

Well maybe it's a sign that the 13 June Enigma will be broken today. I've just been reading Paul's article on here, apparently 13 June is the only day in meteorological summer that has never recorded 30°C.
