After around 4 weeks of that N/NE breeze (although more like a gale at times) the  wind finally switched around today and is now firmly Southerly.

Not as hot as yesterday at 26.5C, but plenty warm enough.

I’m sitting in the garden with a beer at this time of night, not bad for this early in the summer. There is now literally no breeze, just hope tomorrow is not cloudy.

Likewise not as hot as yesterday here due to the onshore wind, but still warm enough, hopefully some surprise storms to compensate.

What an incredible sunset. Don't have to edit these pictures. Straight from my camera. Sorry for so many images. The trees initially his the sun even when it wasn't fully down but luckily I realised if I went to my front garden, I'd have a second attempt that I probably did better on.

I'm out in the garden surrounded by 10 cats, a couple of giant months and even a bat is flying around in circles.

Guess the song ...

Over the past few years
To the traditional sounds of the English summer
The drone of lawnmowers
The smack of leather on willow

… Has been added a new noise..

What were the skies like when you were young?
They went on forever and they, when I, we lived in Arizona
And the skies always had little fluffy clouds in them and, er
They were long and clear and ...

Whats sad she says ..you don't see that anymore ..:(

Morning all,

Hope I find yourselves and your Families, well.

Morning TN9,

Likewise I hope yourself and your Family, are well.

I was just browsing, when I saw your poser.

I'm way too long in the tooth to be a fan of this Music but I'm a stickler for a Quiz.

My era is more late 1960's, 70's and 80's.

On doing a little bit of research, I unearthed the following Youtube clip:

I will forward my details and expect to see a "virtual" cheque in return in due course. Lol.

Regards,

Tom Q. 👍

Speaking of Clouds and Music. The following Youtube clip is much more my type of Music and features a young Lady, who hails from the S.E. Region. born just 6 miles East of my location, in Bexleyheath. Step forward, Kate Bush and Cloudbusting:

From someone who is still plagued with Brontophobic tendencieds, I hope those Brontophiles amongst you won't have to resort to such drastic measures, to achieve your Lightning/Thunder fix!!

Just a short postscript, to the above Youtube clip:

"Filming took place at the Vale of White Horse in Oxfordshire, England. The hill on which the machine is positioned is Dragon Hill, immediately below the Uffington White Horse, a prehistoric hill carving which can be seen briefly in a couple of the shots."
