Apparently, Needles has recorded 121mph now. Can't confirm just yet...

That'd be the record, if confirmed.

Very gusty winds in central London now, office building is shaking during the strongest gusts. Scary to think this is "just" 40-50 mph

It’s certainly living up to the hype here, these are the strongest winds I’ve seen in a very long time.

Bude is taking a battering. This is exactly why the danger to life warnings were warranted. Getting hit by some of this debris could end your life:

To those giving the whole "what a let down, it was exaggerated, what storm?" nonsense - just stop.

My dad lives in Bude, I sent him a text yesterday to warn him, hopefully they're ok down there.

We must have a very bad power source I guess?

Nope by the sounds of the gusts coming through here now, wouldn't be surprised at all, but what on earth will the peak be like.

Power just flickered here, fully expect we may get a power outage later on today.

Power out near Wareham, Dorset.

Which record would it be? For England I presume?

I think Simon King just confirmed it at 122mph. Insane values. Is that a site record?

Relatively calm in Sheffield so far. Not expecting the peak until after lunch, maybe even this afternoon. Constant showers however very squally when they pass through.

Yeah we had a blowy start when the front went through, gusts approaching 40mph. Next band of showery, squally rain and sleet coming in now. Think the peak is still expected to be mid-afternoon for the wind

Power has just gone here in Essex, powerful gusts can feel the whole roof lifting. What you get when living in a really exposed location

122mph, wow, insane speeds.

Nothing much up here in Southern Scotland so far.  Hope all down south stay safe.  Those people on a canal boat are mad!
