Well it would be typical of extreme weather events down the years,be it storms or snowfall, the memorable ones have often caught us all out.

That is not me promising anything, perhaps just a feeling..

Fingers crossed

Looks like later in the extreme south eastern parts of Essex tonight it will proper go bang ! A convergence zone feeding on 1400+ Cape is sure to deliver a very frequent lightning show so for the lightning lovers like Eagle eye it looks like you are going to have a nice night !

Oh how long does that convergence zone stick around, there some sort of trough on the fax chart for tomorrow morning too, upper warm front I think, is it still this.

Ooo what time

It might hit around 11 o’clock or maybe earlier but does depend on how quickly everything gets going.

There is indeed plenty of heat here. Currently 40.3C here in the Charente. Minimum last night was 23C, similar tonight.

40.3 C ??. Only 15C here in herts . Pretty tough going i should imagine. I certainly couldnt garden in that heat. Are you hopefull of storms moving in later. Note that activity brewing in Biscay presently..if you do please send them this way . You should be a bit cooler tomorrow although i think still in the thirties...

If anything looking at the cold\warm front, whichever it is at the moment, it looks to have moved a little more north, not by much mind, just confused, will it move south, or has the Portuguese low won some sort of battle.

No can’t see much on the FAX chart for tommorow morning regarding a convergence zone but tomorrow night it does look like a convergence zone will pop up over southern Britain bringing some *possible* storms.

I've had clear blue sky back for a while now, all elevated stuff moved away west of here.

Yep only a few miles from me, heard distant rumbles, all the low level cloud is moving in the opposite direction to the line of rain on the radar

Yep low level stuff is moving east to west or was, that seems to have cleared off too for now down here.

I’ve been seeing Asperitas all day alongside showers, and been keeping up with this forum. However I still have absolutely no idea what’s going on can somebody give me a run-down please?

I have no idea either, the wind is strong here and all clouds are moving at what appears to be 90 degrees opposite to what the incoming cell is tracking!

Hopefully that lot in Brest has enough energy in front of it to stay active across the channel.

Well the place to be right now is the south west. Enjoy the fun boys and girls. Here most of any rain is evaporating before it reaches the ground. However since the front seems to be further north than expected I should get away with not watering the garden tonight. Not often though you see 69% humidity with overcast skies and the odd spot of rain coming down.

A bit late, but I just watched the Met Office Saturday Afternoon forecast and it does seem to match the current reality that closely and not mention of the Weather Warning.

Well we know it's elevated, but something tells me all that elevated muck this afternoon might have used some of the juice.
