I’ve been out with the dogs and I can see albeit very faint the lightning over north Wales

Parked up at Odiham to see if the line moves up and across. Lots of nice flickering in skies to S/E 🤞

Check out this postcard-perfect spot with our webcam in Deal, Kent County. Enjoy this spectacular waterfront and pier view of this picturesque UK town.

just seen a crazy anvil crawler on the Deal cam. As well as distant lightning I’m assuming on the storm out Belgium way.

Can't tell if it's thunder I hear, the planes with being next to the airport or just the passing cars but it's not far

As it approaches Birmingham areas the radar doesn't look particularly convincing, only thinking is the night is still young and could be a chance for something out of the blue, main lot is in the channel though right now

Yeah thought there would be more prolific lightning by now, The radar is a bit less active but the bow echo sort of signature is interesting.

Looks like we've got one storm coming in from the SE and one from the SW that will clash

Anything that does happen is all further West, I'm by Birmingham airport so just a tad to the East for where I am atm, could look like this is just the main system starting to brew up

First distant rumble of thunder heard from the cell towards Shropshire. I’m standing in the garden and not yet told my little lad who is going to be terrified. He hates night time storms.

Can see lightning to my west, no thunder but nice to see. Might head to Portsdown Hill or just stay in back garden with a cup of tea ☕️

Stay in the garden with a nice cuppa..🫖
