Just defrosted the wife's Jazz, inside & out 😐 Windscreen always likes to freeze on the inside; just crappy door seals and it's a tin cup! Fortunate it gets warm quickly, so it's done a good job and thawing out 😂

Amended it for you, poor wife! 😂

Despite it still being below freezing, the sun is having absolutely no trouble melting the snow and ice. Probably for the best now anyway, roads and paths are lethal

Winds have switched, coming off the sea so milder air is mixing the cold surface temps out I suppose

Still -2C here, the sun isn't actually melting the frost as it did the other day. Still white across the whole garden.

Another ice day in the bag, current temp -0.6 degrees, at this time of year even under abundant sunshine and clear skies, temps tend to peak early by 2pm at the latest. Not sure how low we went last night. Tonight another severe frost for many, perhaps not quite the same level as last night but won't be far off.

Suspect tomorrow won't be an ice day. To have three in a row in any winter is very good going, and given we are not even past mid December, quite rare, last time we had such a run at this point int the winter was Dec 10.

Its been an exceptionally dry 2 and half weeks here, and very sunny as well. Can't help but wish though given the outlook, could flip the month around, with the cold setting in this week instead would have been more severe still and over the christmas period.

Attention turning to the weekend and how much snow albeit transient we may see, not a fan though of snow to rapid rain events, no point in them really.

Here in Crewe, direct sunlight has led to patches of the garden losing its frost but only patches and I imagine even that will end before long as the sun starts to dip below the tree / building line. A lovely day but oh-so cold! 🥶

Yes just looked out and there is a minor amount of melting where sun has been on for a few hours but much less than the weekend just gone. Another hard freeze tonight it seems.

Maximum was 2.3°C.

Just gone below freezing again. 8th consecutive air frost. That doesn't happen a lot here.

Had a low of -7.9c last night which is the coldest I can remember for a few years, had a sunny day which has helped to melt some of the frost/ice but everything still frozen especially in the shade, had lying snow on the front garden(north facing) since the weekend.

We have a notable breeze here from the NW so unless it drops out it won't be as cold tonight. Currently  -0.5C after a high of 0.9C
