We’ve got a couple of inches in Little Budworth near Tarporley so far and it’s still snowing heavily.

I had very low expectations of seeing something today due to location in eden valley between the lakes and pennines but looks as though luck maybe about to change?!

Just been up to the highest point in Runcorn, 100m. No problems with settling snow here. An easy 2 inches have settled.

looks like we all missed out/are missing out by just a few meters.

Rochdale appears to be the epicentre of any shield so far , the highlighted area has seen barely any precipitation all day. Must be local topography and the very specific wind vector/strength, that area will change/expand through the day.

I can verify that. Its actually quite frustrating and intriguing in equal measure. It's a very localised issue. If you run through the radar you can clearly see it.

No real settling on pavements or roads here, just a muddy slush. Snow still falling but I guess we're going to not really get much settling here in the low lands. Shame!

Indeed it is we are on the edge of the Amber ⚠️ been snowing here since seven only about 1.5cm but I thought the zone of death was going to eat us up today.

Disappointing so far. Falling snow but miles off getting 5-10cm.

Will have to see how the day goes and tonight but I'll be amazed Chorley has a decent covering in the morning.

First flakes are falling! That in itself is a result as far as I am concerned!

What is going on? Does Chorley suffer from some type of shadow in these set ups?

Agreed from over the Irish Sea.

The snow should have arrived here at 9am, now showing 12.
