We’ve got a couple of inches in Little Budworth near Tarporley so far and it’s still snowing heavily.

Getting heavier here in mossley hill again.some pavements now getting a slight covering .grass totally covered and cars too .nice surprise hoping more to come

I had very low expectations of seeing something today due to location in eden valley between the lakes and pennines but looks as though luck maybe about to change?!

Just been up to the highest point in Runcorn, 100m. No problems with settling snow here. An easy 2 inches have settled. 
 

looks like we all missed out/are missing out by just a few meters.

I can verify that. Its actually quite frustrating and intriguing in equal measure. It's a very localised issue. If you run through the radar you can clearly see it.

First couple flakes of the winter just started falling, bloody finally!!!!

Drip drip drip. Snow is still falling. Dp has risen to just below freezing. Paths are wet and not white. So close to this being a decent event, but its quickly backing off that now.

No real settling on pavements or roads here, just a muddy slush. Snow still falling but I guess we're going to not really get much settling here in the low lands. Shame!

Indeed it is we are on the edge of the Amber been snowing here since seven only about 1.5cm but I thought the zone of death was going to eat us up today.

I’ve never known it to snow for so long over the past 2 days with literally no accumulation, not even on the plants and trees outside work bloody north west hah

Disappointing so far. Falling snow but miles off getting 5-10cm. 

Will have to see how the day goes and tonight but I'll be amazed Chorley has a decent covering in the morning.

What is going on? Does Chorley suffer from some type of shadow in these set ups?

About 5cm on cold surfaces here in Diggle so far. Roads clear. 0.5c at ~ 200m DP 0.1c

Agreed from over the Irish Sea.

The snow should have arrived here at 9am, now showing 12.
