Thinking of heading out from Pemberton.
Recommendations to catch action or stay put?

I'm staying put but  if you want to go somewhere I'd go to the Irwell Valley or the West Pennine Moors there always seems to be good action there

Just checked on all my local summits and can see many of walkers on the high points. Presumably not many appreciate the danger of lightning and a mountain environment.

If I ever move again that's where i'll be going. Good for snow good for storms. So glad I moved here though this is way better than Crosby for weather where I used to live.

wow it's so incredibly oppressive now.

Hazy sunshine since around mid morning here after earlier clouds broke up, temperature has responded accordingly, currently 25C.

It does feel ripe for a storm today.

Saw those elevated storms out to the east night...very impressive frequent lightning between the upper clouds.  Wonder what's in story today.... a direct hit or many frustrating near misses?  Action brewing to the south, but will probably be spent by the time it reaches here.  Need something a little more localised and slow moving.  Long day ahead.

This has turned into a remarkable spell of weather for September. Didn't expect more than 24c or so today but the recent sun has got us to 26c for the 7th day in a row. It'll be a long while til we seem the same again.

Difficult to tell the storm potential for later as it all looks a bit disorganised down south.

Temp shooting up, now 26.1°C. WRF might of been close to the Mark after all.

Not a day to be on the fells, unless happy in thunder and lightning. Hope people are prepared. Temp has dropped to 19.7 degrees but very muggy 92% humidity.

A good dose of rain for the gardens.

Very overcast and drab. Expected some sunshine at least to start the day.

I’d let you know if we get anything but I’m over the hill into Calderdale shortly.
