No signs of any snow here but it did clear up overnight and dropped to -2ºC

A slight frost on the cars and gardens, but the thaw definitely kicked in yesterday afternoon when that wind picked up

The region was very unlucky last night. Over 15cm has fallen on low grond in Lincolnshire apparently, and had that been a little North like most of the high res were saying, that would've fallen to low ground in the North West. A very tricky system to forecast.

Manchester Airport Taf suggesting rain turning to snow tonight.

about 2cm here from last night

Interesting. Liverpool Airport TAF also forecasts possibility of light snow in the early hours. However, metoffice mentioning potentially disruptive snow over hills, but just rain to lower levels.

2-3cm in Summerseat.  5cm or so up on Holcombe Hill.

Enjoyed my early morning run.  Crunch of fresh snow underfoot.  Amazing amount of light reflected off the snow, even pre-dawn, no need for a torch.

Lots of drip drip but overcast, once sun pokes out it will be a winter postcard scene.

I think we finished on a foot.

Think we may only max 2 degrees at best, tonight will be worse as a widespread hard frost expected..

Once saving grace is lack of wind, no drifting.

Very impressive, enjoy it! I wonder how much there is on Coniston Old Man?! We ended up with 3 inches which I'm happy with, already built a snowman with my daughter!

Yes the lack of wind is lovely, everything is silent and much more pleasant for little ones to be outside in.

I think with climate change / high SSTs I'd be surprised if you saw 5cm there in the next 15 years. When was your last snowfall?

That's why I said 5-10cm possible lower levels because that main core looked a lot further North than it ended up, it was a realistic and definite possibility, it just went to the wrong area.

Just as i thought yesterday shadow killed it here and rebuilt further East.Zip snow for us

Don't even think it's rained here. All frost gone, grass back to full green 😩. Forecast for the week looks uninspiring, Easterly wind direction suggests dull and cloudy days with little or no rain. At least I get to drive up to the snow zone for work tomorrow 😄

Yeah it could've been so much better, the Midlands got what we should've got. Over 15cm here but could've been 30cm. It was difficult to predict.

Looks like I was quite lucky last night, 2 cm and nice massive flakes at times. I'm quite happy.

Well Saturday was an interesting day around 7 inches of snow, 2 hours of thunder and lightning , countless roads blocked trees down  telephone lines down ,and loads of crashes
