Storms and Convective discussion - June 2023

Recommended Posts

The cell that did leave Notts earlier and head towards Clay Cross/Chesterfield looked like it had died off, but it has re-invigorated on its eastern edge and is now chucking out lightning again.

Can hear regular thunder here to my South, very dark sky, constant rumbles.

This is just the tail end of the storm as it moves further into the sea, I'm bit sad I couldn't find my umbrella to go out and take more video earlier!

well here in Kent it just been some heavy at times torrential rain but not a single bit of lightning or thunder, what a waste of a day for activity wise, though we do need the rain so that is something to be happy about

Not even had heavy, just on and off light showers here

Had very high hopes for this afternoon here, after last night's showing, the rain is very much welcome, but I was hoping for fireworks

I think the pudding was somewhat over egged for the east of the country.

However, we may yet have some light rain later on. Not sure in which month though.....

Distant thunder can be heard, about once every 30 seconds.

Nice and beefy, rolling across the sky type too!

Bit of Mamatus on the front edge (well looks lime it anyway) 20230618_172409.thumb.jpg.0e92ae46accdadd495a403022db23fd3.jpg

Yeah it seemed to be dying as it passed through here but can see it is still going. Intrigued to see what the next batch to the south brings...

Eying up that line of storms as it slowly inches north. Just as long as the radar doesn't do this:

Just a few spots of rain here but very humid and distant thunder however the new cell to the south east of us seems to far away to be heard.
