Autumn 2023

It may seem to some of you that Autumn has never left. But, it's that time of year again when we can start looking forward to the season of fruitful mellowness. Autumn is but 7 weeks away. And I know for those of you who look forward to the festive seasons, it cant come soon enough!

Autumn is still a long way off as far as I’m concerned.

YAY!! My favorite thread of the year! The Autumn Thread! 🍃🍂🍁🍄🎃

Funnily enough @Seasonal Trim I was only thinking earlier about this thread, and when it would start, You must have read my mind! Lol 😄

I always look forward to this time of year, as the heat of summer slowly fades, and the evenings and mornings start to cool and turn more misty... And then as time moves on we slowly see those misty mornings and evenings slowly turn into our first fog day... The sun being lower in the sky giving us that wonderful light that only September and October can bring, plus that gentle autumn breeze through the trees which will slowly turn into our first autumn gale. Plus the wonderful colours on the trees. Plus the nights certainly are drawing in now! Over 2 minutes being lost a day! 😁

Oh I'm getting all misty and dewy eyed just thinking about it. 🥰🍃🍂🍁🍄🎃

What will autumn 2023 bring? I've absolutely no idea! But whatever it brings, I shall welcome it with open arms as always. 😀

Great to see this thread up again. I was just thinking this earlier on. We've had a dry summer so far down here but just enough rain for the parks not to be burnt to a crisp. In 3/4 weeks time we'll be starting to see the early autumn dews of a morning. Not long now lads. 👍

A welcome return as far as I'm concerned. Mid-summer, 7 or 8 weeks out from meteorological autumn seems about right to me.

I’m up early each morning and the last 2 weeks have seen a heavy dew most mornings and some mornings shallow riverside mist on prone fields.   More due to lots of rain and a damp atmosphere than any dawn coolness though.
 

Actually, plenty of dew and mist in April and May too.  The interlude of summer like mornings was all too brief (although could return  still).

Hopefully we have a warm September, what with how poor this July has been mostly and energy costs, as much as I love autumn and the gales etc think we will all benefit from a late start to all that tomfoolery
