Nice autumnal morning here in Czechia, down to 11°C with some mist and fog. Back to London today for a week’s working block, looks pleasant for the next day or two

Refreshing to wake up to single figure temps this morning (9.7.c).

Closing the allotment down for winter this weekend. Pumpkins have harvested themselves. There's nothing like digging up your last spuds and throwing them in the end-of-season bonfire to cook...although I was planning to do that on Sunday night but it's see what's occurring with these thundery showers first!!

Autumn raspberries and cucumbers are still producing, the recent heatwave has made the cucumber plants start to flower again, so cucumbers till October at least!

Not a cloud in the sky, beautiful morning. Expecting a high of 25c today.

Interesting to read the posts with claims of how cold and grey it is in the north.  Sad but interesting.

Anyway, how is this month shaping up for sunshine?  Oh, I see that sunniest to date is Leuchars in Fife, with 112 hours.  And second is Aberdeen with 105.     Actually that's pretty much how it's been for the past four months.  Sometimes the lead has been shared with the likes of the Isle of Tiree, Stranraer, Northumberland, the Isle of Man, and Anglesey.   The good old north south divide.

The lack of activity in the model thread is speaking volumes! Pure atlantic grey and wet muck coming from Sunday onwards (maybe Saturday). Hopefully something a bit more settled materialises, doesn't have to be hot, just some pleasant sunshine. Not ready for an onslaught of rain and grey skies yet as we've had that most of the year already. Save us that rubbish for a little longer please 😂

Autumnal weather has got to arrive sometime.

Yup - anywhere north of the M4 is basically the artic circle.

Answering the question on twitter, something a bit cooler, but we have that sunny, sunny and nice rather than last week's overkill temps.

Well it was dull this morning here in Exeter but sun seems to be finally poking through 🙂, yesterday morning it was very sunny then got cloudier as afternoon came, a reverse you could say.  Possible thunderstorms over night 🙂  but keeping everything crossed for some sun tomorrow....South eastern areas have been the place to be for sun the past few days...This trailing front has been over the country for a few days now, keeping most northern/western areas in full cloud, wish it would sod off so the country can enjoy sun sun and warmth before next weeks onslaught....Hopefully this isn't the last of proper warmth and sun this year.

Haven't made a post in quite a while, as the end of August/meteorological summer was completely unremarkable and really nothing to write about. (most days around 18-22C, one-two warmer days around 26C)

But September so far has been quite warm for Estonia, daytime temperatures have been around 17-21C, culminating with a summery spell on the 11-13th where it was 24-25C and sunny. It was very nice, too bad I had a cold and spent most of it at home lol. This is a big contrast to last year, where we had an unusually cold September, where temps dropped to around 10-14C right at the beginning of the month and never recovered.

Yesterday was our first truly autumnal day, around 14-15C and rainy. Today it's 17C and sunny, the air feels cool and crisp, but its still quite warm in the sunshine. Luckily this mild 16-20C weather is forecasted to continue for at least another week, as I am not ready for cold autumn weather yet. I wish it would stay mild until mid October, but here at this latitude we will probably see our first single digit temps somewhere in early Oct.

Lovely at Heathrow, sunny and nearly clear blue skies, thankfully no vile grey muck and a most pleasant 23°C currently

Been in Menorca and going home tommorow. One can tell we are now leaving summer even down here in the Med. Had two days of clear skies to start but then cloud and rain came on Tuesday and the rest of the week while nice mostly felt mostly like a typical Southern U.K. July with highs in the mid 20s and sunshine/showers. GFS parks a giant low over Scotland the coming week could be a named storm.

21c, sunny with wispy high cloud, a nice breeze. Feeling more like high 20s sat in suntrap back garden.

Warm, for here, in mid-Sept.

More of this, well into October please.

We may just get treated to some thunderstorms again this weekend (I won’t hold my breath!)

Wake me up when Autumn finally turns up!...certainly temperature wise, looks like it will turn more unsettled next week and breezy.

Crazy temperature gradients today, just 12C in Belfast and Edinburgh. 24C in London.

North of Leeds will feel quite chilly, autumn has arrived for Scotland and Ireland.

Pretty stark today, the chart below is a good way to visualise it. 25c now in London, 14c in Glasgow, 13c in Belfast.

Currently sitting on the balcony (which acts as a bit of a suntrap, 18C feels more like 23C here) and enjoying the sun. Lovely for mid September.

Estonia has more pronounced seasons than the UK, but even here we had many days in July which felt colder and duller than today. Seems like  we are finally benefiting from the warm SST's, giving us warm days in September (while in high summer the warm SST just seemed to producue more cloudy dross than usual over Northern Europe)
