Must be frustrating for you, totally get it. The SE often does well in these synoptics. Hopefully the sunshine will hang on all day and some will appear your way

We have had sunny half days when the front has lifted north a little but it’s still like a slap in the face, I feel most sorry for Ireland, wales and some northern areas where the cloud hasn’t abated all day, this trailing front type set up sucks and you are so right that it usually least  affects the south east

Yes we’re lucky this time, July was different when the fronts just seemed to stall over us while a few hundred miles to the south it was often warm and beautifully sunny. Very frustrating, am not a fan of slow-moving fronts in general (unless it’s snowing lol)

Yes, I don’t want to be a Debbie downer, please enjoy the sun and send some in our direction 😊

Yes I dislike that, too. Can’t beat those cold sunny days and foggy, frosty nights, love them. Atlantic wind and rain definitely gets old quite quickly, don’t mind short spells of it but it often goes on and on for weeks/months

Yeah like for 9 and a half weeks ripped the heart out of the summer.

I am probably in a minority of one but I do appreciate the Atlantic kicking in for winter. The thought of those freezer like mornings when you drag yourself out of bed and it's dark and minus 5. Freezing cold. Feet like ice blocks. Then snow. What's the point. It just comes. Looks nice for about an hour then caused massive disruption. Then it goes all slushy and is a death trap. Yuk. Mild wet and windy for 12 weeks then get out of there will do for me!

Hey, easy there. I share my views pretty widely, for me it's all about the temperature. We're all entitled to our views, and perhaps rather than taking it out on me you could raise it with the mods if you don't like the 'disagree' button? Rather than having a go at me?

Are you lot still at it? Roll on, snow! 😁

Revolting weather this morn.

15c, raining, dark. Autumn decides to become .....Autumn.

Adding to the gloom i have a stinking cold and a throat that feels like it's been sandpapered, despite me having no tonsils🤣. Still, it kicks the "Get plenty of Vit D" theory into touch - i've had 2 weeks of a Vit D overdose🤣

Sounds like you know what, anyway hope you feel better soon.

Nope, it isnt. It's just a cold - tested myself this morn. And crucially, no blinding headache.

Seems peeps forget that common cold symptoms are v similar.

Please not until these companies stop overcharging for energy and food. We don’t need a cold winter.
if we get a cold winter then I am genuinely concerned for some people who don’t have 2 apnies to scrub together and will have to choose between food or warmth, I will have to help my mum out for starters.

can tell it's an E'ly breeze, north sea filth all morning, breaks in it now with medium level cloud above it, not sure what's happened to the 25 degree day

First half of September sunshine totals!

East Sussex running away with the lead lol.

Isle of Wight still doing below expected. Has it really been that much duller down there?? Can't beat the station giving faulty readings as they hit 323 hours back in June and were perched at the top!

The more I do these tables, the more I don't believe in figure adjusting for specific stations. Heathrow are always hovering about in the top bracket and always have very similar figures to neighbours Surrey for example. Any adjustment would put them just behind East Sussex! Way I see it is either no stations need to be adjusted or they all do. But hey, we all have our different opinions, it's all good 👍

Yay Hants has gone up a little bit lol

I'm ok at 20, still haven't had a temp under 26 at night even with windows open letting in the cold air.
