Lovely and fresh today. It's really enjoyable when it's cool without a cutting wind.

Sounds like it may be dry for a good few weeks too, pretty good for this time of year.

mate I am 17.7 hrs for October thus far 😊  I think the sun has decided to hibernate , although once today's stats are in ,  probably low 20s

Thought I might be in with the lowest sunshine month ever , but next week looks like spoiling that 😉

Yeah naff start for you guys! Tomorrow will be our 3rd grey day in a row with no sun but after, hopefully the whole country can enjoy the pleasant October sunshine ☀️

It's been deceptively warm today down here. Had a parents evening to go to, put a jumper on cause of how cloudy it was, but because yesterday's chilly wind was gone, was to warm in it.

Now there's a warm breeze starting to blow, and a few drops of rain falling, and still to warm for a jumper.

Think the person who said I need hrt is right tbh.

Despite being very warm, the start of October has been very dull.. even duller than the first 12 days of Oct 2019. Today was a chilly one, but will be the highest sunshine total of the month so far.

Your all hot flushy poor chook. I need HRT too for night time. As I'm the same as you just at night. I sleep in shorts and t-shirt even in the -10c we had last winter. I just sleep under a sheet.

I wonder if anyone does bonfires anymore? I used to love that thick smog that would linger into the next day. I remember people would dump all sorts in those piles, everything from sofas to mattresses. It seems like only a few places like pubs with land bother these days.

I'm going to call lack of mad fires burning whatever anyone fancies a good thing...

Nice hearing the rain outside while the windows are open.

What rain, lol only joking, but seriously it's so light yet again, that it not really doing anything at all here. At least there was some decent rain last night.

Raining properly now, looks like this comes up over us, and then showers behind in a warm southerly flow, followed by a cold fron tomorrow evening.

When I was a kid, Bonfire/Guy Fawkes Night was always a bigger deal than Hallowe'en....... Lots of organised displays, 'penny for the guy', etc

Now thanks to the US, we're bombarded all October with Hallowe'en tat.....
