I’m ignoring the Channel Islands stuff now - it’s stationary for some god forsaken reason

Just got to see if anything pops up south west of us on the coast really. That’s all I can wish for

I hope you’ve enjoyed the Andover storm season as much as I have this year. It’s been a real white knuckle thrill ride

I dunno, there is a lot of frontal activity going on and with elevated setups things are less clear.

Another thing is that I’ve lost count of how many times the skies have looked classically ‘primed’ - but sweet fizzy alligator has actually happened.

This morning looked fairly good, there was a chance forcings would have given us a decent squall, but in the end it was only rain. However, it was utterly torrential

We had north sea low cloud here, and when the front finally got here it was dry pmsl, but it took the north sea cloud with it, and we've had some nice sun since, so not a total waste of a day. We'll see what tonight brings later, nice sky went flat again at some point, but can see stuff south of me that looks interesting.

Friends Clump is also an awesome spot - would be perfect this evening I reckon.

So dark - but quite a few cars usually turn up so that can be a little bit irritating

Not much to ask... but why can't we have a 1,500 mile long active storm front as per current activity below... 🙄😖

Don't really want that MCS over NE Francr drifting in towards the SE, would prefer taking chances on individual storms firing and drifting for the lucky.

A warm East/SE breeze here.

High risk high reward for some

Those storms near Cherbourg are defo supercells imo, have the classic look to them.

Velocity data also shows some weak rotation, far from the radar though.

Looks like they are producing some fairly big hail aswell, shame they wont survive the channel.

Uk radar is an embarrassment.

I’m off to watch an episode of line of duty - if nothing changes by the time it’s done I’m getting an early night

Completely agree with you, it annoys me that we have no access to any velocity/CC/hail data that those in the US or even Europe do, makes  things such as identifying supercells incredibly difficult.

New cell to the west of main Guernsey one, more on the French coast, and that line of towers I keep mentioning looks very encouraging. Today's been a rollercoaster of thinking Kent Clipper or whole SE clipper, but now there's 'hope' for the latter.

Looks like Poseidon is getting involved, might be better/more dangerous than we thought.

Radar data from that potentially strong tornado producing cell in northern France as it was on the ground.

France absolutely outdoing us once again when it comes to storms

As far as I'm concerned, France can keep it's tonadoes and any large hail they may have had.

Lol they popped up rapidly and are now decaying just as quickly. Sporadic large raindrops here from a red radar echo.
