Looks like some new developments near Swindon, seem to be heading relatively north as well.

There are still loads of flashes i can see in the distance but it's not worth staying up for anymore, as i cant see any bolts. Overall though, best storm since this time last year. Not the best storm ever but it will do for now.

Best of luck to everyone chasing and make the most of it!

Cant wait to log on tomorrow and find all the cool shots people have got. Have fun, and night everyone 🙂

Using some star light photography on my camera now. Also makes planes passing by much cooler.

Flashes are becoming rain-wrapped, but it's still going strong here. Pretty much continuous lightning and thunder. Lightning elevated.

Already seeing a few faint flashes of lightning from just south of Lincoln! Must be from the stuff in Cambridgeshire I guess

Can't say I'm too optimistic about anything here unfortunately, there's so much low cloud and the storms to my south seem to be splitting

This could be the start of those storms that were mentioned around 3am

Amazing views right now of three distinct CBs flashing away to the north, the entire towers are lighting up

All passed through here, but wow.. that was wild!

It has made up for the lack of storms over the summer.

Just shy of 40mm of rain in 14 hours. Rain rate of 151.6mm/hr.

334 lightning strikes recorded.

A few graphs:

Lightning has suddenly gone nuts - a few rumbles but I’m seeing IC lightning flashes every 1-2 seconds 🤷‍♂️
