I'll be disappointed if it doesn't look like this by Wed. 😁

I am and have been a huge lurker since I joined NW many moons ago.

Much prefer reading the NW regional thread. I do look at mad thread/London and SE every so often but it’s full of rubbish most of the time too much head wobbling on why it will or won’t snow in the South.

As I’m in Warrington looks like I will be too close to the coast and any mild sector will impact on snow chances.

Good luck to those across the NW though as chances look better esp with some elevation

Welcome just don’t eat itsnowjokes sprouts 😂 feels mild and still out maybe the calm before the storm

The GFS 06z was the first run to show any snowfall next week on the operational in my back yard.

temps getting down to -7 by the end of the week, probably colder if there is snow cover

It must be Model of The Month, then! 😁

So as things stand @Chris.R are we expecting maybe some snow on Wed and then next one Thursday night/Friday Morning? got my flight Friday 19th 6am from Mcr Airport.. hopefully the airport will have all the contingent to try clear the runways.... starting to be concerned but keeps changing timings and days from model to model

Could be snow every day could be none. Too early yet.

Looking forward to a colder spell next week. I hope this time the Met Office will put out snow warnings across our region. Maybe either tomorrow or Sunday.

Looking like a proper wintry week next week, the temperatures will be on our side barely above zero during the days and quite a few below at night.  Happy that we've got potential snow from a North-North Westerly pepping up off the Irish sea instead of the torture of watching a low from the south west making painful progress and instigating a snow shield in my parts. Fingers crossed most of us will see a bit of snow falling next week

I know. Those south west ones are useless aren't they. I remember lots in the 80's. For Manc they never gave anything. Irish sea our friend. 79 perfect example

Been a busy week at work so just caught up with about 10 pages in here (cheered me right up with reports of some tantrums in the mad thread)

Last time I posted the focus was on the old snowy breakdown from the SE... A few days later and that ship appears to have sunk (or more precisely likely diverted to France) and we are now back in the game with possible snowy incursions from the NW, a much better chance for us all in this set up I have found I've found over the years 😁

What a turnaround!
