Wind is crazy here! Gusts sound and feel much worse than Sunday in our neck of the woods. House is creaking and I can here all kinds of banging outside. 😳

15.4C at Rostherne today. I imagine that could be an all time record for the site for January as it's only been operational for around a decade.

Really remarkable considering no one expected temps that high.

Wind is rattling big time against the window exposed to the west wind. A wild mid winter's night.. hoping not much damage to wake up to come dawn. Heavy blowing rain as well. This time last week we were on the verge of a 60 hr window of sub freezing temps... what a contrast.

Some mental gusts then, lots of crashing around.

Some quite vicious gusts now, wind really gripping the house. Probably approaching the peak over the next hour.

Roaring wind.  Feels chilly despite "mildness".  Not a night for wearing a kilt.

Just had a huge gust - think damage in this area might be worse than after Isha. Might well be some trees down. Glad I am not needing to travel tonight!!

Think this is worse than Sunday, For here the higher gusts have been more frequent and for a longer period of time. Very rough out there and has been for a good couple of hours.

Pretty bad out there. Unfortunately I have a west facing bedroom and it looks like it'll keep me up tonight. Doesn't look like it'll ease off until at least 4am.
