This looks like an absolute non event, been pink over us for last 2 hours, now it’s just cold rain! A load of fuss over nothing!! Paul Hudson may be right!!

Snowing moderately-ish at the moment. Starting to settle slowly on the cars, but not on the floor as yet

More snow than rain now here but with the earlier rain the ground is soaked and it's not heavy enough to settle I don't think

Temps now 1.2c and dew of 0.3 so it's going the right way for now....

Best way to describe it here is the rain is trying to turn to sleet. I wouldn’t even call it proper sleet yet.

I've got a vantage point from my window whereby I can see the snow line. Was about 200m about half an hour ago, now dropping so it's mostly snow here at about 150m turning from sleet as the temperature drops to zero as predicted by MetO.

Sleet here too. Temp of 1.3c and dew point 1c. Hopefully temperatures drop and intensity increases, but not looking promising for any settling snow

 Cuban Zebra Sleety mix until about 3 then heavy snow. This has been the forecast for days. 

It's actually progressed to about 70% snow here in Scholes (198m) so your not far behind even in the center. 

Basically the forecast has always suggested that you need to wait for the triple point to approach and then its the occulsion aftertwards that gives the goods as the low center moves east and more cold air digs down. 

If it's already 70% snow now, i'm fairly optimistic.

Mostly snow here...a little slush on car windscreens on the school walk but nothing settling at all. Will be surprised if it does. 

My daughter wasn't happy going to school she wanted a snow day, she has prayed to the weather gods

Just starting to turn white now on the grass, roofs and cars. It's still trending the right way so hopefully we can keep it up for a few hours...

Sleet turned to snow here .

Was 0c this morning, then 1.5c when the sleet arrived. Now 1.0c  Only settling in favoured spots like some roofs/car roofs and bins so far.

Moderate falling and settling snow here. It looks like a snow event in the hills away from the urban heat islands.

The North Yorkshire Road / Weather Station Cameras show a good indicator of where it's lying.

Lying snow in Cowling, Ribblehead, and Greenhow, but not in Settle and might be turning to snow in Grassington. Height is key at the moment.

Yep looking more and more like a mostly high ground event this  very disappointing. Nothing where I live at 78m looking at my house camera, but still snow falling  at 200m  above Sheffield.
