Rishi blames the small boats. The rest of us blame Rishi.
Only a matter of time before we have Storm Rishi, not sure whether that would be a windstorm or yet another political scandal. Or both.

Thank you.it looks like I don't need surgery thank goodness but will see orthopedic doctor tomorrow for discussion.ankle is broken and the worst thing is I didn't feel that at all I could just see it was hanging loosely which suggests previous nerve damage.bruised everywhere else and chipped elbow.ribs took a good pounding.very small hairline hip fracture.i was lucky it could have been a lot worse.

Heya Jennyjane, good news on the no need for surgery 👍 good luck with the Consultant tomorrow. Do the daily physio (even though it hurts like hell) don't be afraid to pull faces & make noises, it will make you laugh and laughter is the best medicine 😉

Storm Isha is approaching, temperature sure shows the difference.

Today's High Temp

11.3°C   at  14:14

Today's Low Temp

2.8°C  at    2:17

Looks like Avanti West Coast and Scotrail are suspending train services shortly.

I don't think this is forecast to be as bad as the winds we had a few weeks ago which were gusting into the high 50's, highest here is currently forecast to be mid 40's, so I'm not too worried. Had some proper house shaking gusts in the last lot!

Bit wet and windy isn't it? Fortunately from a IMBY perspective it doesn't look too bad/noteworthy. I'll whisper it very quitely but it's nice to see some warmer temperatures on the way, look like we could even get a 14c and sunny, early spring-like.

Can anyone tell me how bad this is forecast for hopton/Yarmouth eg power cuts?

I think it's a question of 'how long is a piece of string?' this type of weather is so unpredictable. could be some gusts nowhere near you that affects other areas. it really is a watching game i think.

Are these wind gusts expected to get stronger through the night?
nothing out of the ordinary here just a very windy evening. Just drove back from my mums and traffic, roads are fine!

Didn’t even see a wheelie bin on its side.

I've just been outside in the garden for while, chopping up a few logs for my log burner.

It's definitely fairly windy outside at the moment, but not quite as much as forecast for this time IMO.
