Hard to tell but having just let the dog out, I can see what appears to be light snow falling.

Not amounting to anything.

If anyone’s remotely interested 00z GFS has a bit of an Easterly for Pennines showing at +210 11/3 👍🏻

Iceaxecrampon a definite Daily Express headline.

Morning all.

I've not looked out from behind the curtains yet but... it's dry,  not windy and the planes are coming over my house so that means wind is coming from a westerly direction. Alexa show, is displaying temperature of 1°C.

Morning.  Bright tangerine sky earlier, slight frost on the bird table and fence top.  2°C and it's dry. No threat of Showers currently on the radar unless you're in the Bowland area.

Beautiful cam that.  Noticed too that there's  still snow atop of some fells too.  Blencathra cam stunning as usual, blue sky, low cloud and snow.

A glorious sunny morning here after a frosty start and certainly beats the sleety rain fest of yesterday morning. It's shaping up to be a very decent day.

Lovely sunny start after a slight frost overnight. Off out on a long dog walk to make up for yesterday 👌 ☀️ 🐕

Glorious here today; 6ºC and quite fresh, but it's warm in that sun!

Looks like we're in for a nice'ish week

A far better day than the last two across the Lake District. Fine winter walking conditions provided had the right kit and confident in snow and ice.

Snowline roughly 500m and the afternoon sun did little damage to it. Indeed the fells are looking resplendent with a thick white coat, as good as at any stage this season, indicative of how poor its been for snow. March can often bring the best snow conditions - usually calmer, and air temps remain very cold with height gain. with added benefit of light- a far better month for snow than December.

A cold frosty night in the offing. March is making up for February snow barreness.

jimben Pleasing to see winter return to the fells just in time before the sun takes a real hold.

Last year was the same, early March brought alot of snow after another mostly snowless season.

Always believe late Feb and first half March usually delivers at some stage.

One of the best days up in the hills for quite a while, even though cloud started to play a part later on.

Lake district ski club had a cracking day too.

matty40s Good to see the tow in use, can't be many days this season it has been active. I was on Stybarrow Dodd Monday just gone, and there was a smattering of snow, but not enough for it to operate, and it being a Monday. Pleasing to see a fine winter day weather coincided with a Sunday.
