Is that a sneaky convergence for this evening possibly? Big spike in CAPE near my location and I noticed a sea breeze trying to come inland around that time.
I think we're too far north for anything overnight and tomorrow though.

 Chris.R   yes, going to be an interesting watch, theres some decent levels of CAPE moving into the region tomorrow per Arome.  Europe storms has some risk for the NW on Friday.  See what transpires.

Birch pollen haze today now the east wind is here -- all the way from N Europe --  pollen level high according to Met O .  Sniffle and misery.

 Rush2019 WRF is not so keen at least for this far north but you might be alright if it was correct. Let's hope it's more widespread and further north.

Hoping the rain holds off, I'm off out on another bike ride tonight and would like to stay dry.

It's a nice day, it does feel warm at last. Not always bright though, plenty of cloud about.

20.5c feels warmer in sun on patio… occasional cloudy interludes but mostly sunny

yes, some lovely convective cloud scapes.  Lots of lovely sunshine here, Manchester Airport has reached 20°C Rostherne a smidge behind, and Keswick on the chart too.

Latest WRF is really going for it for this evening. 400–600 CAPE around the M6 corridor with close to 700 around Preston. Shows heavy convective precip breaking out.
Steering winds look E veering ESE.

It's become extremely dark and overcast now here. Not sure whether it's convective or not but temperature has dropped significantly.

A Sea breeze is developing, that would explain the temperature

Went oppressive and sweaty an hour ago.  Had to take off my thick top jumper! 

No rain here yet, but cloudy and looking very black towards Yorkshire.

Garden warbler is back with non-stop warbling.  Someone is happy.  Swallows and curlews excited too.  May like the prospects of warm showers.  Should be a good crop of insects about this year due to all the lingering wet.  Last year very dry and shrivelled by May.
