Never fear, that bright spark in our lives will disappear shortly;

Considering its taken most of the daylight hours to reach us, it seems to be getting a scoot on now, well the first band that is, then we await the second band in a short while. Computed view below

The triangle is here

Aha, figured out, there's a hole in the cable and when it rains we get the infamous triangle of a rain area.

After the sunny weekend normal service resumed today. At least it looks drier for at least the next few days.

More rain again this morning, it’s getting pretty desperate now. Need a really lengthy dry spell until about October!

jtay it’s as badly forecast/modelled as the precipitation that brought the snow Friday night into Saturday!

Short term precipitation forecasts and modelling has definitely got worse in recent times.

Certainly is chucking it down, the dogs went outside and tiptoed around in the puddles.

Dorsetbred yep - yet another wet dog walk this morning. Even the playing fields have standing water on now. My local heaths are complete no go zones.

Still I’m sure come a few weeks hot weather in the summer people will be crowing for rain and farmers will calm a drought is on the way. With all this water falling from the sky it’s almost embarrassing we find ourselves with water shortages at times.

26.2mm in the last 24 hours here. The UKV was showing this rain on one of yesterday's runs, but I didn't see it on any forecast.

Morning All, anybody notice that Spring still wants to follow the wet winter, with today's rainfall that is 4 out 5 days with measurable rain?

Daily rain totals

11.3 mm on day 1

11.8 mm on day 2

09.9 mm on day 4

With today adding to this.

Yesterdays Met Office video did suggest this happening, as shown here, whilst commented it might be heavy showers, they did highlight it, getting the position of it possibly too far south:

shot1.thumb.png.5899235be5ac61c60afc2d6bda9a05ff.png

shot2.thumb.png.8c53346db2b98042834eb22e8c24def7.png

However, the same was stated on todays video, which almost suggests they didn't review the updated scenario, as they still stating "heavy showers", this is continual rain, not showers, so got to give them a black mark for not updating their forecast for today.

This radar shot doesn't suggest showers, that plain old rainfall:

Moving on, the overnight low of 3.7°C at: 01:00 has managed to haul itself up to 5.8°C, RH97% and a light breeze from the N.

From Above, the coastal rainfall showing nicely.

On Golden sands, wet suit weather..

Net weather accumulation map suggests between 38 and 48mm here. 27mm here in 24 hours, so that's quite an exaggeration.
