*Stormforce~beka* As DB says, it depends on the aspect. If it's a sunny spot, wait and put your outdoor toms in there.

If you want something to grow up that trellis, you'll need to bin off the container, remove a slab, add plenty of organic matter and plant your clematis/passion directly in the ground.

My Mum has a climbing hydrangea in a similar situation that's doing well.

As much as they try, the rain stays either side of us at the moment:

Today saw our annual highest temperature fall, by a mere 0.1°C , with it reaching a maximum of 16.3°C at: 13:53, our highest since Feb.

Windy day but not much rain. Decided it was a painting day anyway. Been a few of those recently.

Mapantz Yep, really blowing out there.

Wasn't earlier, when the strongest winds were forecast.

I was going to head out for ride on the mtb, but the wind is a bit too much!

Just been adding some nifty little apps to my Garmin computer, mainly weather ones.

Terrible morning with continued wind and now driving drizzle/rain which wasn’t expected to be this far East!

Beautiful, sunny start to the day here.  Alas, a quick glance at the radar soon brings a bump back down to earth.  Gloom & drizzle inbound shortly;

Andy Bown Yeah, I’ve got two loads of washing waiting to go on the line. Hoping for an improvement later. At least with the wind it should dry out quickly.

Did ours yesterday, it was a cracking day to get it dry, with breeze, warmth and some sunshine, perfek. Locally winds are gusting around 38mph, but Treknow (Cornwall) showing higher gusts:

As noted still a fresh breeze in from the SW, priming us in readiness for tomorrow/Tuesday by the look of it:

Yellows are out already for the coastal areas on Monday:

And increased area Monday night into all day Tuesday:

Channel is looking choppy again:

Very choppy down at West Bay

Currently down on Portland and it’s a cracking day, albeit a tad breezy.  Near clear blue skies though & warm.

I’m emigrating!!  😁

Plenty of warm sunshine, hazy at times.  Breezy but comfortable enough.  Travelling home, heading north, once I hit the Sherbourne area and into Somerset, cloud & drizzle returned.

Andy Bown Agreed Andy. It was decent.

We sat out until 8pm. First night since last year that we haven't lit the burner and come in early.

It's been a nice weekend overall here with 2 reasonably sunny days in a row and it felt quite pleasant. The only downside was the keen breeze but when sheltered it was nice.

Not sure I see a need for a warning for wind here on Tuesday? The predicted wind speeds are lower than what we've had over the past two days.

Happy Monday, I'm sure it really is Monday this week. 😁

Bit of a meh day today although the wind has dropped a little compared to yesterday.

Back to work, and a rest this week.

Quite a bright start, but a boggy walk as the farmer has put the cows and their newborn calves in the first field. It'll be a quagmire by the end of the week.

Just cloudy today but no rain yet despite what the radar shows. Thankfully the wind has dropped.

MP-R yes it’s quite funny really, put my washing outside on airers for a quick rescue when the rain arrived and it must be evaporating before reaching the ground! Added to which there’s hazy sunshine too.

If only more fronts could be the same!

Same here with the washing. Put it out for a couple of hours, then brought it in thinking we were in for a moderate shower. Turned out still dry, even though the radar showed otherwise.

Wind warning is still at odds with the forecast.
