3 thunderstorm days in this region in the last 5 days of March! Totally different set up today too!

Back to the usual cloudfest here today with just a brief sunnier period late this afternoon. Another dry day again though which is something at the moment.

Daughter  just  reported  thunder over Portsmouth  . My little Grandpuppy  is going nuts apparently.

Well that lot sprung up remarkably quickly, 5pm nothing on radar to suggest anything at all this early in the evening. 8pm torrential downpours, a whole long line of the things.

Impressive convective squall stretching across central parts for the region, west to east.  Narrow but intense rainfall projected.

Dwindling T&L though as daylight energy fades.

Earliest I've ever been out of the no storms club. Hope it bodes well for the summer!

It’s like the sort of summer storm you get after a stonking hot humid summers day.  Weird weather for Mar/Apr - perhaps this year we will get the storms we missed last year.

there is a heck of a lot of rain outside very heavy, consistent and a good three or four hours worth so far not including the thunderstorms rain as well earlier

tomorrow could be more flooding I suspect and the rest of the week Herald any better weather in fact they said more rain

Morning All, the morning kick off with 100% wall to wall blue skies, which have since downgraded with a few towering cumulus at an altitude of 1,500 ft and scattered clouds at an altitude of 2,000 ft. Seems as though the showers are already firing up inland (around Salisbury) and a nice bow over the Devon / Dorset border adding more rain to those that received it yesterday.
