  1. Looking further ahead the Met office 6-30 day outlook doesn't sound too bad for the SE. Turning cold/ V cold
  2. Am I right in thinking the GFS can sometimes over estimate the power of any Atlantic systems? Surely if those low pressure systems wasn't so deep that high to the SW of the UK could shift further north west giving us a better chance of seeing an easterly develop when high pressure finally builds into Europe?

Hi Lottie, i currently work for Kent police ( off duty atm) We are dealing with a number of incidents and looks as though the main roads in and out of Hawkinge will remain closed until at least tomorrow morning. We may also close remembrance hill in town if we feel it's going to get much worse. A fleet of gritters are working around the clock to clear large volumes of snow. I will try and keep you updated throughout the night.
  16. I work as part of Kent police (off duty at the moment) The main roads that are closed now will stay closed throughout tonight and possibly tomorrow morning. However there is a fleet of gritters en route to help clear Hawkinge hill as well as the roads that go through Densole, Denton etc. As you can imagine this will take most of tonight and will be made much more difficult due to snow forecast to fall throughout the night.
