Was just drifting my mouse across the south coast reporting stations on http://www.xcweather.co.uk Perfect alignment with 10ºC in the west at St Mary's in the Scilly Isles, to the easternmost Sandettie Light vessel in the channel at 3ºC - west to east gradual drops of 1ºC every 50 miles or so, all with a brisk southerly wind. Wonderful illustration of sea warmth vs continental cold.
