  1. If it was a landscape photo, rotate the ipad to the right otherwise rotating to the left will turn it upside down.
  2. Ay up!! The latest storm moving through has brought a gust front with it, winds picked up from nothing to 20mph, also rotation in the low levels, could be interesting
  3. I just got a pic of it as viewed from the west. The great thing about these conditions is you can really see the structure of the storms.
  4. Certainly picking up http://www.burnhamoncrouchweather.com/wxlight.php
  5. 2 more minor storms passing me here. 1 to the East the other to the West. They seem to be backbuilding with very warm sunny spells between them. Looking good for the next few hours
  6. Minor storm just passed through here. 1 flash and 1 rumble, with any luck it may mature by the time it gets over your way
  7. I'm going to be greedy today and hope for at least my 3rd storm in 2 days
  8. The 2nd storm has now passed, a good few CG's and loud thunder, loads of rain and pea sized hail. No real structure that I could see so a photo wasn't worth sharing.
  9. I think that's gonna be here in an hour or so, can I suffer 3 storms in such a short space of time? You betcha :-)
  10. Storm just kicked off over Benfleet canvey area, 3 strikes and thunder in the last minute! 3 more strikes and thunder to my S/E but another approaching from the N/W looking very dark and angry 2nd edit, 4 more strikes, sorry make that 5 all IC, edit again make that 7!!!!
  11. Welcome to the madhouse Not a drop here but the skies are getting organised to my N/W .... Ooh! it's just started raining as I type!
  12. I like Pauls example above as it amalgamates areas into easier to handle 'lumps' I'm not speaking from a moderators point of view but from my own. The thing about the UK weather is we mostly get it second hand from another UK region. Today for example we might be expecting some convective (albeit a low chance) activity from the SW heading East. Surrey would be well placed if he chose to, to report and repost between areas 4-5 thus preventing me having to constantly switch between regions to find out what's coming. Ok that's a bit of a simplistic view but much better than having to run all over the forum for information. Just my 2p's worth!
  13. Afternoon all. This looks like a typical convective summers afternoon if wasn't so chilly. Just now hearing lightning strikes over the AM radio. Low level cloud is heading West, the more convective upper level stuff is heading NW. Also very Hazey.
  14. Had a heavy hail storm with sleet about an hour ago. Even a couple of rumbles but just drizzle now!
  15. As a guess here in Basildon I would say constant wind speeds of 30 mph gusting to 45-50, an hour ago it was a dead calm!
  16. I have a full case of Carlsberg, Netweather online, Rain Today etc, and a healthy liver so far. I'm only 52, maybe time will tell
  17. Sunset here at 17:15 today, you wouldn't have guessed it by looking out the window. It was actually darker here at 15:00 when the rain passed through!!
