  1. Kay Burley keeps chasing that army Major around Staines on Sky news, perhaps she has a crush on him
  2. Whilst I hope the forthcoming storm doesn't impact too heavily on the areas already flooded, let's not forget those who have lost their homes to coastal erosion. I'm wondering how bad the isle of Wight might look now as that's been disappearing steadily since as far back as I can recall!!
  3. The SW must be getting a battering, Just watched a Ryanair jet take half an hour trying to land at Bristol! I never knew that particular airline carried that much extra fuel!! http://www.flightradar24.com/
  4. A Ryanair jet is having trouble landing at Bristol, he's been around 4 times, I hope he has plenty of fuel left!! http://www.flightradar24.com/51.41,-2.65/10
  5. Could possibly have some embedded thunderstorms arriving overnight http://www.isleofwightweather.co.uk/StormVueNG.htm
  6. Sort it out Sustained wind now at 51.9 as I type!
  7. The wind here died from a previous 25mph sustained wind at 18:00 hours (1001mb) to 18mph just an hour ago. Now gusting at 40mph and and an air pressure of 984mb and falling. Stay safe folks, will be offline now until the morning. I hope you all come through this without any personal or material loss!
  8. Another aborted landing after being held in a stack for the last 30 minutes, now going around >> http://www.flightradar24.com/TOM8EH Edit to add now landed: flight radar misbehaving itself!!
  9. Let's hope he gets down safely, these are real people on board. I suspect this flight will not be the last to get in trouble due to this weather!
  10. http://www.flightradar24.com/EZY84RX aborted a 2nd time short of the airfield, it's nuts out there!
  11. Watching flight radar and an Easyjet A319 approaching Gatwick went from an approach speed of 155 mph down to 112mph which is basically stall speed then attempted a landing at 185mph. He never made it and is currently going around. Glad I'm not in the air at the mo!! http://www.flightradar24.com/EZY84RX
  12. Buckster, I have sustained 30mph winds here gusting to 40mph, set to double in the next 6 hours. Your time will come soon, be assured!
  13. I just walked out to the car and nearly lost my wig! The wife thinks it's all just a joke. I have been trying to inform her that this is a serious event, but with the pressure of crimbo and keeping the grandchildren happy I fear the message has been lost!!!
