  1. met office local forecast now has the west midlands mostly but not completely dry overnight West Midlands Headline: Mostly dry overnight, with heavy thundery rain on Saturday. This Evening and Tonight: Most places will be dry and fine in the evening. During the early hours a few heavy and thundery outbreaks of rain will move northeastwards across the region. It will be a muggy night. Minimum Temperature 12 °C. Saturday: Humid with more frequent thunderstorms and locally intense downpours, perhaps with hail for a time. Drier, brighter and fresher conditions will move in from the southwest later. Maximum Temperature 21 °C. not sure if that ties in with latest data but it does tie in with met office forecast maps
  2. i'm dreaming of... Has posted a screen of 2pm tomorrow which shows unstable air further east again in the model thread not sure which site it comes from Keeps going E and the north sea could be in for a pasting
  3. would somebody like to attempt to explain why I have loads of DVD's concerning Lightning and Tornados which I can watch without problems but cannot face it going on around me , common sense would dictate if you can do one you can do the other
  4. so that means the thunder and lightning within that could be quite variable
  5. Another Question when the bbc is showing greens and yellows on their forecast maps is that the severity of the storms eg : lightning , hail or is more the intensity of rain because I can handle that it's the frequent lightning that I cannot
  6. I felt a little better this morning as the threat seemed to be a little less but with everyone issuing warnings I am quite worried again met office did not seem to bad as it had it through the morning but easing it through afternoon but netweather has the threat going through afternoon wish I knew which one to put my most faith in
  7. Cold front moving through faster has thrown a real spanner in thw work s it seems
  8. Well in a nutshell most of my life and when one comes along shut curtains turn up the volume on tv to very high levels turn light on and sit in one position and wait it out
  9. I'm happy you all agree with his assessment becuase I'm out of the risk zone doesn't mean I'm in the clear but I'm a lot happier today than what I was yesterday Thank God for speedier Cold Fronts
  10. is the change in forecast happening because the cold front has decided to get a move on ?
  11. one good fork for a minute there I thought it said something else
  12. Well me been near Coventry I'm just outside your expected area and even further away from you severe area which is good for me
  13. I like things been toned down maybe things won't be as severe as first thought but then any thunder is too much for me still looking warm in se on sunday especially London
  14. thats not what i wanted to hear but the bbc forecast maps shows the rain more especially tomorrow morning with the north seeming to cop it more in afternoon
  15. I'm hope that I do even If I get one storm and it only lasts 1 hour that's far too much for me , used to hide in closet but family concerned that In a very small confined space with all that heat I might do myself harm
  16. if the rain and cloud is already this far in by 3am then sunshine in the morning may be at a premium althoguh it does tie in wiht my local met office forecast for the time period
  17. that is a concern too much cloud about especially if the front gets in early and by the met having devon and cornwall in the clear you'd infer that the front is already making inroads
  18. Despite what all the charts show I still think a lot will be disappointed on saturday often potential and reality can be substantially different and there's still time for change
  19. I must confess I'm tempted to leave my area as well Shetland seems appealing
