CFS end of November ala 2010, needs to be watched carefully just in case there is a trend we are missing. Is it me or does climatology say that if the Polar Vortex forms over mostly Russia, and not near Canada/Greenland that high pressure will build that way, or is that only the recent case?

Hello, I've had a Excel Spreadsheet tracking a bit of data on the CET and other bits of data I've added into the equation to factor in. Just spent the last 4 hours working on these making these data sets presentable, hope it is of use?? Any suggestions and other data that could be added let me know, and I'll try get a graph on it. Current CET - 2013 CET Monitor - 2010 Onwards... Annual CET Annual CET since 1995 - Annual Sunspot Count Monthly CET since 1990 Winter monthly CET since 2007 Winter monthly CET since 2007 incl NAO and AO Winter monthly CET since 2007 - Sunspot

CFS 9 monthly 12z and 18z are the best runs, the morning runs are far from detailed and seem to default zonal.

This could be pretty serious, CFS is showing some stonking stuff...

Models are shaping up as we get nearer to November. Take a look at this first one, really getting those heights going above Greenland. Surely not again??? Nov/Dec 2010 all over again, 1070mb high over Greenland!!...

Interesting, the CFS keeps churning 2010 charts out. It might be another really severe bitterly cold winter coming up. But look at these, they are stunning...

It's got a lot correct over the years, but what model has really done it consistently. NONE!

I don't even want to think about it anymore, the amount of times we used to get MCS imports and they would explode over the UK and that no longer happens is incredible.

It's really interesting, we can't get an MCS here like we used to. I just guess they have to come directly from the south and head north from France. Nonetheless, two isolated Thunderstorms from this so far...
