  1. Enjoyed a few beers in the garden tonight, felt brimmin lovely in the evening sun. Hoping we get some decent storms toward the end of the week!
  2. Temperature dropping rapidly, sleety mixing with the rain in Longham at times.
  3. Temp has dropped off pretty quickly in the past hour, just 4C 3.7C here now, hopefully that continues 2.9C
  4. Yes that must have been epic to watch unfold, jealous does not even come close to how I still feel about that storm!!! My day will come....maybe....probably a week after I relocate
  5. Had 1 very heavy hail shower in Ferndown (work) and one moderate hail shower, no Thunder or Lightning though. I now have recorded a total of 620.5mm of rain this winter(so far), just over 24 inches. 67 rain days and 22 dry days, most of which were in early December and February. 6 poxy air frosts
  6. Saturday afternoon/evening looks more favourable for snow going by the latest output for our region does it not?? Straw anyone .........
  7. Was up at 5am and it was teaming it down, I've had 11.9mm today wasn't expecting that much from "a few heavy showers" forecasted. Looks to be drying up now as the latest precip clears east.
  8. Nice settled spell of weather looking increasingly likely now after next weekend, bring it on!!!
  9. 3mm of rain this evening, horrible weather, but I'll take it over gales and more flooding, what the bet we now freeze in March, when what we really want is a nice pleasantly warm Bartlett! I'm on night feeds tonight, typical the weather is dull = forums dead! Ah well I'll just mull over the red card that ruined our football match tonight :-(
  10. My brother witnessed this funnel cloud today, blimmin typical, he was very blasé about it, saying it was further down to the ground and when he thought he better take a photo for me, it was in its way back up. Great shot though. Hedgend by the way.
  11. -0.2C and dry and not windy........and there is blue stuff when I look up, what's going on.........? Little late, but hers some photos from yesterday morning Poole Quay 1 hour before high tide on Friday night Saturday morning aftermath of Poole Park first snap, rest is Sandbanks
  12. To be honest, it's the responsibility of the owners of the restaurant. They should have been checking warnings/tides/sea conditions and closing the place if deemed necessary. Perhaps a Red Warning that the conditions warranted would have made them think differently.
  13. just been out to investigate, Sandbanks is a mess, poor people on the bay road, homes all got swamped by sea water, driftwood and even boats in one instance. Lots of trees down all over the place also. Photo's to follow shortly.
  14. Well looking around my street I'm very glad I took steps to prevent my fence blowing over!
  15. I've decided not to venture out tonight, that's how bad it is down here, I rally can't remember hearing wind this loud before.
  16. WOW it is windy out there, Just been for a drive and they are Sandbagging everywhere on Poole Quay, It looks like it will almost certainly flood tonight. The wind is so loud it's incredible. without doubt the strongest storm this winter for me.
  17. Yes I agree with that, it has been growing as it pushes east already. Either way, certainly looks like an intense rain band.Anyone seem the ECM teaser? I say BANK!!Probably be cast as an outlier though, the mean doesn't really back it up......at all
  18. From experience of the past features similar to this one, the track is difficult to predict, so could change still, be on guard is probably best practise. AWD, do you know where I can view possible forecast tracks for this storm?
