Another dull dank day with outbreaks of steady drizzle and a chilly easterly breeze. At least we beat yesterday's max of 11.0c with a dizzy 11.9c today.Thankfully we also saw the Spitfire over the local steam rally which was decimated by the 37mm of rain since 6pm Friday.
.What I'd do for a storm at night and directly overhead for that matter.Think we're a bit far north to see anything too dramatic though. Was hoping for a nice day Saturday but all looks rather cool and wet now.
The BBC,don't usually like using the word thunderstorms but on countryfile weather the word was used for next Friday.Watch it be down graded to thundery showers by next Wednesday though!!.
I know it's a long way off Supacell, but if things were to stay as they are, what would our chances be here in the East Midlands of getting a good storm?!.
I wouldn't worry too much Supacell, nothing much happening here either. Most of the showers are passing South of here.No hail or anything exciting as yet!.Think time is running out for today now.
Heading home from Norfolk today and have just hit a downpour near Nottingham, though the radar doesn't show anything too exciting. Some impressive clouds aound at the moment all heading east as well.So could catch something later Greenday?.
Currently on holiday in Little Snoring in Norfolk and just heard distant thunder.Very threatening skies all around here at the moment.Looks like my friends back home in Derby are seeing some action too!!
There were some beautiful anvils iluminated by the setting sun tonight, along way to the Sw of here.Had a brief hail shower around midday whilst down the road had a crusty white covering.
