  1. Overcast, dull and damp with a temp now of just 10.8c after an overnight 'high' of 11.7c
  2. Same old, another foggy, damp & cold start after an overnight low of 6.9c.
  3. Another very dull and overcast day after early thick fog.
  4. Overcast, dull and chilly now after a promising start (and forecast).
  5. Today could be several months away weatherwise from yesterday! Bright and breezy with good sunny spells after a misty, murky start. Temp is 11.2c.
  6. I seem to recall Thursday 30th Aug 2012 dawning white over here.
  7. Dull and overcast with heavy and persistant rain making the journey to work rather treacherous with large pools of standing water even on main roads. Looks like central Northern England is in for much more rain this morning as well.
  8. Very wet overnight with a torrential downpour at approx 4am. Today has been dull and overcast with further outbreaks of rain although there was a drier spell around the middle of the day. A cool day with a max of only 16.7c but thankfully not much wind.
  9. Heavy overnight rain clearing to broken cloud and sunny spells with the odd very light shower blown on by brisk south westerly. Currently 19.6c after an overnight low of 15.2c.
  10. The sun has just come out here this minute, at 15.33!!
  11. Overcast and dull 21c, at least it's not raining! Where's the sun that was forecast?
  12. An overcast start with light rain late morning followed by a partial clearance until 3pm when the rain proper arrived. A cool day for July with a max of only 18.6c and it's now been raining for the last 6 hrs.
  13. A bright and breezy morning until around lunchtime when cloud increased from the SW. There then followed a thunderstorm together with a downpour of the likes I have not seen for many years. Roofs were like waterfalls and roads turned into small rivers and it lasted for a good 10 to 15 min so it would be interesting to see what the rainfall totals were. Currently partly cloudy with sunny spells and 19.8c in a light south westerly.
  14. Torrential rain and a thunderstorm between 0700 - 0800 with a fair amount of lightning which then drifted away to the North to leave moderate rain showers which lasted until approx lunchtime. The afternoon was then dry and increasingly sunny helping temps to rise to 22.7c. Feeling muggy in a light/moderate south easterly. There currently looks to be some very heavy rain/storms to the east of York heading North.
  15. A cool and overcast morning with outbreaks of drizzle/light rain only slowly giving way to brighter conditions after lunchtime. Hazy sunshine late in the afternoon helped raise temps to 23.7c but unfortunately another disappointing day despite the promising forecast.
  16. Maybe I'm in need of some sun!! It seems to have been very dull recently!! Well this is the moaning thread!!
  17. After the recent run of poor days (including today) here I'm sorry to say that the up and coming good spell will be too little too late for me. No matter how sunny or warm it gets. Moan over.............
  18. Another poor day, the fourth on the trot. Cloudy, windy and feeling cool in moderate showers with a temp of 17.1c.
  19. Mostly cloudy with the odd sunny spell, currently 16.9c so milder than yesterday but still very poor for July.
  20. Dull & damp 12.6c. Yesterday reached the dizzy heights of 15.2c, lets see if we can beat that today!
