Sod the snow, Tom Baker is trying to steal your car.
Or it's Kevin Keegan gone forward in time from the 1970's.

Imagine if we get anything like 10-15cm the place would completely break!! ? I’d very much like to see that lol
I think I'd cry and would run around Parkstone doing a Fabrizio Ravanelli style goal celebration.

Well, we have had some nice flurries including a few heavier showers this afternoon here in Poole. So I'm now happy as a pig in poo.

We don’t do well in northerly’s, north westerly’s or easterly’s!!! I’m wondering what the hell its going to take to ever see proper snow again for our region lol
A bloody miracle?!?

It’s crazy ?. I’m remaining in here and the short term thread @knocker has posted a good one in there this morning; showers possible here today and tomorrow so it’s all good IMO
That is the plan I have. Stay in here and the short term thread. The MAD thread will send you thus if you allow it to.

Confused. Gfs low going north. Ukmo low going east. Ecm sort of in the middle. BBC going for blizzard. Met going for snow to rain. Nothing going to be sorted for 48hours or so.
And it does the hokey cokey and turns around...that's what it's all about. Woooaaahhh....

Don't resign to "its going to rain" we've been here before, most of you are to young to remember i suspect with respect......
Too much model fatigue, dear boy. And I'm not talking of the page 3 variety either.

Damn your good.. bbc should have signed you up instead of meteo group. Might as well sign off for the week, no point in checking.
Anything could happen at the moment...
Thank you NK. Nice of you to say

It'll be rain on Friday down here on the south coast. Snow further inland.

The latest weather warning for Tuesday is about right, the whole of Dorset is clear along with south Wilts and west Hampshire, I'm sure it will change but i think it's ironically hillarious ????
It is funny. Can't see it any other way.

Good of them to warn all the seagulls over the sea.
Very thoughtful. Plus there's Bob from Hamworthy who likes to do a bit of sea fishing off Old Harry's Rocks every Wednesday. He'd need to know.

Notice how they say 'small chance' so many times?
Still doesn't fill me with hope living down here. Simply put, we've gone from such perfect conditions to marginal. in such a short space of time. Unfortunately, i'm feeling rather deflated by it all, now. It is only weather after all, but even with an Easterly and a channel low (which is about the perfect opportunity for southern counties) it can, and will go wrong.
Fully empathise with you there! And yes, feel quite 'meh' about the whole thing now.

Yes, I mean in terms of it being cold enough for snow on the south coast, the weekend warm up is happening, I’m trying to avoid an snow- rain event!
Indeed. If we here on the south coast were offered an all day snow event on Friday followed by a quick warm up in temps on the Saturday. Then I'd bank that now and would be satisfied heading into spring.

Looking increasingly like a cold snap rather than a spell
I don't think anything at that range is yet set in stone. A trend, yes. However, more model runs needed.

Is the Beast from the East a fluffy bunny in disguise or the real deal? Only time and more model output, will tell.

ECM great for cold out to day 10 then a reload from NE. For us down here at present its all eyes fixed on the development of the low Thurs.night into Friday. Further north could mean a few hours of snow turning to rain. More to the south then epic blizzards. Still time for changes from all models and more runs needed.
I don't know about you lot but I need a prescription for something to calm my nerves and something a bit stronger than gin lol. Its agonising just waiting for the next set of runs. I need to take the mutt out for a good long walk.
Expectation levels down here on the south coast always need to be realistic. We can't do anything about the weather but hope that luck falls our way during the course of the next 7 days.

If we get some snow down here on the Costa Del Poole on Tuesday and/or Wednesday, then I'll be a happy little bunny. Anything thereafter would be a brucie bonus.
-
Please let this happen. Please, please, please (don't go tits up just as we are on the cusp of something great).

can we stop with the North/South divide rubbish? wherever it ends up, its nobody's fault. while you're all bickering, the GFS is chucking out a run which looks good for snow for EVERYONE!
Agree. This north/south thing does no favours.

To be honest, I'd be happy as a man who thought a cat had done its business in his pie, but it turned out to be an extra big blackberry; if we in snow starved Poole had 5cm's snow tomorrow.
